Multi-gear cassette and damping device
10253865 · 2019-04-09 · ·

The invention relates to a damping device on a multi-gear cassette for a rear wheel of a bicycle, wherein percussive forces produced by the chain members running from the slack span of the chain onto the sprocket are damped. This is achieved by damping the chain in the region of the chain run-in on the sprocket where no loads are borne. In one embodiment, a damping ring is provided for the purpose of supporting the chain link plates, and the tooth contour of the tooth flank which does not transmit load force is set back, and the tooth root space according to the invention is recessed toward the hub center. As such, when the chain is fed in to the sprocket, the chain link plate contacts the damping ring rather than the chain roller impacting the tooth flank or the tooth base.

Track-supporting roller assembly for a crawler chassis

A track-supporting roller assembly, according to the disclosure, for supporting a crawler track of a crawler chassis includes a bearing unit and a track-supporting roller rotatably coupled to the bearing unit. The track-supporting roller includes at least one supporting body made of plastic. The supporting body serves as a damper and prevents a metal-on-metal contact between track chain links of the crawler track and the track-supporting roller. The track-supporting roller assembly according to the disclosure ensures a reduced noise development in the crawler chassis. At the same time, it is possible to also reduce the wear of the track-supporting rollers to a considerable extent.

Roller mounting and roller block assemblies for ground-engaging track system

A roller mounting assembly for a ground-engaging track system includes a frame, and a roller block coupled to the frame and including a shaft support surface extending through the roller block. The roller mounting assembly further includes a damper resiliently deformable, relative to the roller block, to dampen loads transmitted between the roller block and the frame. Embodiments of a roller block assembly and a damping shim assembly are also disclosed.

DEFORMABLE SUPPORT WHEEL WITH RESILIENT CHAMBER AND TRACK SYSTEM HAVING SAME

A deformable support wheel with a resilient chamber for a vehicular track-based system, is presented. The track-based support wheel comprises a central hub aperture portion configured to receive and operatively connect to a corresponding axle; a sidewall portion configured to concentrically surround an outer peripheral surface of the central hub aperture portion, the sidewall portion comprising a pair of radially-extending flanges that are laterally spaced apart from each other; and a deformable tire portion concentrically mounted on the sidewall portion. The inner surface of the flanges and an outer peripheral surface of the sidewall portion define a resilient chamber that provides a spacing between the outer peripheral surface of the sidewall portion and an inner peripheral surface of the tire portion. The support wheel structure minimizes lateral deformations caused by compression/shearing forces experienced during challenging environmental conditions by redirecting the deformations radially inward towards the resilient chamber.

SPROCKET DAMPING ASSEMBLY FOR A TRACK-TYPE MACHINE

A sprocket damping assembly may include at least one arc-shaped damping pad with a plurality of through holes, at least one arc-shaped backing plate with a plurality of through holes, and a plurality of tubular spacers, each including a central through hole. The sprocket damping assembly includes an assembled configuration, where a portion of the tubular spacers is located on one side of the at least one arc-shaped damping pad and the at least one arc-shaped backing plate is located on an opposite side of the at least one arc-shaped damping pad. An axial length of the tubular spacers may align the at least one arc-shaped damping pad with an edge of the drive sprocket, adjacent to teeth of the drive sprocket. The at least one arc-shaped damping pad may be formed of an elastomeric material.

Deformable wheels and track systems comprising same

A deformable wheel is disclosed. The deformable wheel includes a hub, at least one resilient member connected to the hub, and a plurality of circumferentially positioned rim portions connected to the at least one resilient member, where each one of the plurality of rim portions is moveable relative to the hub about the at least one resilient member. A track system including the deformable wheel is also disclosed.
