For improving damping properties and aerodynamics of a bicycle seatpost, said bicycle seatpost substantially includes three elements. A support element includes a connecting member for connecting to a bicycle saddle, and a holding member for fixing to a seat tube. Said two members are connected to each other by a bending member. At the front side of the bending member, a damping element is adhered, in particular with its entire surface. The damping element is particularly partially surrounded by a shell-shaped form element.

Bicycle saddle with spring-based vibration isolation

A vibration isolator cartridge can be configured to exhibit a non-linear stiffness profile. The non-linear stiffness profile including a region of quasi-zero stiffness. The vibration isolator cartridge can include a housing. The vibration isolator cartridge can include a plunger. The plunger can be configured to be depressed toward a distal end portion of the housing. The vibration isolator cartridge can include a plurality of spring members operatively positioned within the housing between the plunger and the distal end portion of the housing. The plurality of spring elements can be arranged in a stack. The vibration isolator cartridge can be used to provide improved vibration isolation performance in various applications, such as a bicycle saddle.

BICYCLE COMPONENT WITH AN ADJUSTABLE SEAT POST DEVICE
20220081050 · 2022-03-17 ·

A bicycle component for an at least partially muscle-powered bicycle, including a seat post device adjustable between two positions, with two support members telescopically movable relative to one another in the axial direction namely, a first support member and a second support member. The bicycle component includes an anti-twist protection with a clamping element that non-rotatably couples the support members together, and which is displaceably received in a guiding groove, so that rotational movement of the first support member relative to the second support member can be at least partially blocked. The anti-twist protection includes a spline device with a spline unit that can be pressed against the clamping element in the axial direction. By pressing the clamping element and the spline unit together, the clamping element and/or the spline unit can be moved relative to the guiding groove in the peripheral direction.

Systems and methods for supporting telescoping elements

An inner tube moves axially between an outer tube and a support, all of which are concentrically arranged, to a desired telescopic position, relative to the outer tube and the support, and can be locked in the desired telescopic position by applying radial force between the support and the inner surface of the inner tube. The radial force generates a frictional force acting on the inner surface of the inner tube, which resists longitudinal movement of the inner tube. A bicycle actuator cable is coupled to an actuation connector for a tension-controlled actuator by a bicycle cable connector which has a fixed longitudinal position on the bicycle actuator cable. The bicycle cable connector is longitudinally consistently removably repeatably interengageable with the actuation connector to maintain longitudinal alignment of the bicycle actuator cable with the actuator through repeated engagement and disengagement of the bicycle cable connector and the actuation connector.
