Thermally conductive and compliant elastomeric devices, systems, and methods for mounting heat generating components inside a tubular frame
11001332 · 2021-05-11 ·

A system and bicycle incorporating same mounts a heat-generating component such as a motor, motor controller, or battery pack, inside a frame tube using a thermally conductive and compliant elastomeric device comprising a base portion having a relatively smooth first side and regularly-repeating protrusions extending away from a second side, wherein the relatively smooth side of the elastomeric device is wrapped around the heat-generating component such that the regularly-repeating protrusions will be in an interference fit with the interior surface of the tubular frame when the heat-generating component is mounted in the frame tube, thereby conducting heat to the frame to exhaust to the environment, providing compliance that allows for dimensional variation of assembled parts, and muting noise and vibration.

Steering System for Bicycle Handlebars
20230406437 · 2023-12-21 ·

A steering system for bicycle handlebars comprises a holding element fixed to the steer tube, in particular above an upper bearing element. A fixing element is arranged between two bearing elements. The fixing element is not directly connected to the steer tube, but is connected, in particular by form-fit, to the holding element by means of a connection means.

SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY AND BICYCLE HAVING A SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY

A bicycle includes a frame, a suspension assembly and a steering assembly. The frame includes a head tube that rotatably receives a front fork assembly. A steerer tube extends axially away from a fork crown of the front fork assembly. The suspension assembly includes an upper tubular support longitudinally slidable relative to a lower tubular support. The upper and lower supports receive a first positive biasing means and a first negative biasing means. The lower and upper supports are respectively connected to the steerer tube and a stem of the steering assembly such that the upper support slides longitudinally relative to the lower support adjacent the stem and above the fork crown.

The present invention provides a bicycle tool storage device mountable in a bicycle headset assembly and/or a bicycle pump. A top cap for loading a headset assembly and mounting the device is also provided. The top cap includes an annular body and a device receiving aperture extending through the body. The top cap includes a flange extending radially outwardly from a first end of the body and a ridge defined in an inner surface of the body adjacent to the flange. The ridge is concentrically aligned with the aperture for retaining the device. Further still, a bicycle pump for mounting the device is provided. The pump includes a pump body, a handle, a pump head, and a flange. The pump body houses a plunger and a piston. The plunger and handle define a cavity for receiving the device. The handle further defines a flange for retaining the device.

A bicycle fork includes a fork shaft configured to be rotatably borne by headset bearings in a head tube of a bicycle frame so as to rotate about a steering axis. The fork shaft includes a cylindrical fork shaft segment that is disposed eccentrically with respect to the steering axis. The cylindrical fork shaft segment is a right circular cylinder having a hollow interior, a cylindrical inner surface and a central longitudinal axis that lies within a symmetry plane of the bicycle frame and extends parallel to the steering axis. The central longitudinal axis of the cylindrical fork shaft segment is spaced apart from the steering axis in a direction of eccentricity that points in an opposite direction with respect to a forward direction of travel of the bicycle.
