Asymmetric basketball net to support ball return
The present invention is a basketball net designed to facilitate preferred directional momentum to an exiting basketball. The basketball net is designed and constructed in a manner such that the basketball exiting the net has desired exit-trajectory and rotational spin. The present invention enables the basketball leaving the net to return towards the preferred direction, which is, field of play instead of an undefined random direction. The asymmetry is induced by either substituting existing cord segments with those having elastomeric properties, or surface treatment on internal face of the net at particular sections so as to create frictional differentiation.
SOCCER TRAINER NET
A soccer training net includes a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion, a generally rectangular net having a bottom edge and a top edge, and a lower elastic member having a first end, a second end, and a medial section that extends between the ends. The medial section is coupled with and extends along the bottom edge of the net. Each end is coupled the lower portion of the frame. Upper coupling members extend between and are coupled with the upper portion of the frame and corners of the top edge of the net. The frame does not include a member that extends along the bottom edge of the net such that the medial section of the lower elastic member and the bottom edge of the net are suspended between the sides of the lower portion of the frame.
SYSTEM FOR EXPELLING AND COLLECTING BALLS AND RELATED OPERATING PROCESS
An omnidirectional system (1) is described, for expelling and collecting balls, adapted to reproduce a real playing and/or training dynamics, such system (1) being equipped with at least one closing element (8) connected to at least one expelling device (2) of the system (1) arranged orthogonal to the expelling device (2) when expelling at least one ball from the system (1), the ball bouncing on an upper surface of the closing element (8) going towards at least one user; and with at least one net element (7) of at least one collecting element (3) of the system (1).
TENNIS WALL
The present invention relates to a tennis wall (100), comprising a frame that can be erected on the ground (101) and a cloth (102) stretched in said frame (101), wherein the cloth (102) is stretched such that a level cloth surface (104) is formed and that a tennis ball hitting the cloth surface (104) rolls or slides up the cloth surface (104) and then rolls or slides down again, characterized in that a recess (105) is provided on the upper end (103) of the cloth (102), the recess (105) being designed and positioned such that a tennis ball, once it has rolled or slid up the cloth surface (104), then enters the recess (105), subsequently rolls or slides out of the recess (105) again and only then rolls or slides down the cloth surface (104). The invention also relates to the use of this tennis wall as an aid in tennis training.
Ball retrieval attachment for golf flagstick
The golf flagstick with ball retrieval attachment is designed to assist a player in removing a golf ball from a golf cup after the player has played the ball into the cup. The golf flagstick includes a flag mounted proximate a top end of the golf flagstick and a ball retrieval attachment mounted proximate a bottom end of the golf flagstick. The ball retrieval attachment includes a ball retrieval body mounted on the flagstick using a ball retrieval fastener and adjustment mechanism. The ball retrieval fastener and adjustment mechanism allows for height adjustable attachment of the ball retrieval body on the flagstick to compensate for different golf cup depths.
Basketball return backstop net assembly
A freestanding basketball backstop assembly returns basketballs shot at a basketball hoop to a player positioned at a location spaced apart from the basketball hoop. A net support has a base and side legs, with vertical rods removably insertable into sockets of the side legs and threaded through sleeves extending from the side edges of the net peripheral border. The base is placed in front of the post supporting the basketball backboard. The net is arranged behind the post supporting the backboard. A slit opening in the bottom periphery of the net receives a portion of the post supporting the backboard. Top corners of the net are connected to the tops of the vertical rods. Bottom corners of the net are attached to front edges of the side legs. The vertical rods keep the net in tension behind the backboard.
Soccer training devices, systems, and methods
A soccer training device and system includes a generally horizontal and planar platform and at least one sloped soccer ball collection trough provided generally around a perimeter of the platform. A segmented cage is provided generally at and around outer bounds of, and vertically above, the platform. At least one sensored gate includes at least one soccer ball impact curtain provided above the at least one soccer ball collection trough to direct soccer balls into the trough, and at least one arrangement of sensors to sense presence of the soccer balls that are impacting the at least one curtain. A ball thrower sequentially receives the soccer balls from the silo, to sequentially deliver the soccer balls to a player on the platform. A control panel and a control box control operation of the soccer training device and system.
REBOUNDING DEVICE FOR SPORTS BALL
A rebounding device for sports balls including a frame defining a frame opening, a net disposed within the frame opening, a cable extending around a perimeter of the net and a cable tensioning system configured to tension the cable around the perimeter of the net and thereby pull the net taut within the frame opening.
Golf putting device
A new golf putting device incorporates a concave ramp turf surface having a set of golf putting receptacles and a corresponding set of golf putting receptacle plugs, and a set of distance indicia corresponding to the set of golf putting receptacles. Each golf putting receptacle plug includes a body portion and a turf layer. The receptacle's turf layer forms a part of the ramp turf surface and smoothly transitions into the ramp turf surface. The golf putting device also includes a frame structure and a ramp layer attached to the frame structure. The ramp turf is attached to the ramp layer. The golf putting device also includes a set of rails on the two sides of the ramp turf surface. The golf putting device further includes a set of target zone indicia on the ramp turf surface.
