Basketball launching device with a camera for detecting made shots
Systems and methods for detecting made and missed basketball shots are provided. A launcher passes basketballs to shooting locations about a basketball playing area based on user input provided at an interface to define a custom practice arrangement. A camera captures images of an underside of a rim of a basketball goal. A controller receives images from the camera, associates the images with passes from the launcher, processes the images using a machine vision model to determine which of said received images indicate a made shot, and generates a performance report indicating a number or percentage of made shots for each location in the custom practice arrangement.
Open Field Game Arrangement Including Glowing and Responsive Targets
An open field game arrangement includes glowing targets and provides responses, such as lights and sounds, when the targets are hit.
BASKETBALL RIM LOCKING COVER AND VOLLEYBALL TRAINER
A basketball rim cover includes a cover plate to be placed over a basketball rim. A first locking piece extends downward. A support arm is arranged through the locking piece so that ends of the support arm are aligned with opposing points of the basketball rim. A second locking piece engages the first locking piece and is adjusted to clamp the rim between the cover plate and the support arm. A lock bar may be placed through slots in the first and second locking pieces. A fastener may be used to prevent the lock bar from being removed. In an alternate embodiment, a volleyball training aid is based on a basketball rim mounting assembly which can be mounted on a basketball rim. The volleyball training aid further includes a support frame and netting.
Foldable basketball stand
A foldable basketball stand has at least one first hoop on a rear end surface of a backboard on an upper half portion of a front frame. A middle portion of first left/right rod of the front frame has two first left/right joints respectively. One end and the other end of left top/bottom rod of a left frame are connected to a left-rear rod/the first left rod respectively. One end and the other end of right top/bottom rod of a right frame are connected to a right-rear rod/the first right rod respectively. A middle portion of left/right rear rod has first/second rear joints respectively. An upper half portion of a rear frame has a stop portion. Left/right sides of the rear frame are connected to left/right rear rods through left/right connecting rods respectively.

TWO PLAYER DOOR COURT
A basketball return chute assembly includes a chute and a backboard attachment device. The chute is adapted to receive a ball from a basketball basket assembly attached to a backboard and direct the received ball back to a game player. The backboard attachment device is connected to the chute and is adapted to attach to the backboard, to place the chute beneath the basket assembly, and to cause the chute to direct the received ball in a direction away from the backboard. The backboard attachment device is connected to the chute via a hinge. The chute includes a slide with a knuckle at one end and the backboard attachment device includes a plate with another knuckle at one end. The slide is one leaf of the hinge, and the plate is the other leaf of the hinge. The hinge is held together using a pin inserted through the knuckles.

Basketball return backstop net with angular adjustability
A freestanding basketball backstop assembly returns basketballs shot at a basketball hoop to a player positioned at a location spaced apart from the basketball hoop. A net support has a base and side legs, with vertical rods removably insertable into sockets of the side legs and threaded through sleeves extending from the side edges of the net peripheral border. The base is placed in front of the post supporting the basketball backboard. In one embodiment, the net is arranged behind the post supporting the backboard, and a slit opening in the bottom periphery of the net receives a portion of the post supporting the backboard. In other embodiments, the net remains in front of the post supporting the backboard, and the vertical rods are set variably to place the net in different angle orientations so that the assembly may be used either as a backstop assembly, or as a defender barrier in front of the basketball basket or as a barrier or practice net for other sports.
Method of Constructing an Energy Absorbing and Golf Ball Returning Golf Net
A method of constructing a tight mesh golf net with a support frame that returns the ball to a golfer who is hitting balls into it, the distinguishing feature is that a tight mesh golf net, which is created with the net configuration around the support frame that returns the golf ball via a return net to the golfer
Portable sports practice net or sports goal
A portable sports practice net includes a frame with a base to which removable vertical poles having top side bar supports, such as T-units or L-units, are joined holds a net to create an opening, such as a goal opening. The top side bar supports have a unique shape and extend horizontally from the top of the vertical poles in a manner that reduces the weight placed on the net fabric hung between the vertical poles and creates a goal pocket depth with need for additional vertical posts. Or, the tops of the vertical posts are joined to T-units or L-units, with each T-unit or L-unit having a horizontal bar slidably engaged thereto to create the goal opening depth. Each vertical post creates a pivot point at its bottom end, such that each vertical post is urged apart from the other post to create tension or leverage between the opposite top side bar supports or T-units or L-units, thus creating a net opening with a more realistic goal shape and reducing sag at the top edge. The portable sports practice net may be used with soccer, golf, baseball and other sports.
