A deployment device is provided for use in deploying an offshore renewable energy system mounting platform to a submerged operating configuration. The deployment device has a body portion including a platform engaging portion, the platform engaging portion arranged to fixably engage a corresponding portion of an offshore renewable energy system mounting platform, a mooring line tensioning member coupled to the body portion, in which the platform engaging portion is arranged to disengage from the platform. In use, when the platform engaging portion is engaged with the platform, the mooring line tensioning member applies a tensioning force to at least one mooring line along a plane substantially perpendicular to the base of the platform, in which under the tensioning force, the body portion is arranged to move relative to the at least one mooring line from a first undeployed position to a second deployed position.

SUBSEA CONFIGURATION FOR FLOATING STRUCTURES OF AN OFFSHORE WIND FARM

An offshore wind farm includes at least three floating structures designed to receive a wind turbine, with each floating structure having at least three mooring lines, and each mooring line is attached to a mooring point arranged around a floating structure. The mooring lines facing inward from the offshore wind farm form the inner mooring lines of the offshore wind farm, and the mooring lines facing outward from the offshore wind farm form the peripheral mooring lines of the offshore wind farm. A peripheral mooring line includes a first segment able to be attached to the floating structures, and at least one intermediate segment formed of an elastomeric material attached to the first segment and the second segment.

SUBSEA CONFIGURATION FOR FLOATING STRUCTURES OF AN OFFSHORE WIND FARM

An offshore wind farm includes at least four floating structures designed to receive a wind turbine, with each floating structure having at least three mooring lines, and each mooring line is attached to a mooring point arranged around said floating structure. The mooring lines facing inward from the offshore wind farm form the inner mooring lines of the offshore wind farm and the mooring lines facing outward from the offshore wind farm form the peripheral mooring lines of the offshore wind farm, wherein two adjacent floating structures have at least one of their peripheral mooring lines crossing each other, with at least one of these peripheral mooring lines comprising a buoyancy element.

Anchoring device

An anchoring device for anchoring a floating object to an anchor structure, including a first attachment for being constrained to the floating object; a second attachment for being constrained to the anchor structure; a damping member for damping the relative motion between the attachments for securing the first attachment to the second attachment and including a sliding chamber, a piston for sliding in the sliding chamber according to a relative motion between the attachments and a damper for damping the sliding of the piston in the sliding chamber; and a control unit including a measurement sensor for measuring the sliding of the piston; and a control board for varying the damping of the damper according to the sliding of the piston detected by the measurement sensor.

Buoyant rotatable marine transducer

The present invention is concerned with a buoyant rotatable marine transducer and a load reduction device defined by the buoyant rotatable marine transducer, and in particular a load reduction device for use in securing an offshore structure such as a floating platform or the like, as are common in the areas of marine renewables, oil and gas applications, aquaculture, the buoyant rotatable marine transducer having a buoyant body adapted to assume a first orientation when at least partially submerged in a body of water and unloaded, in which a longitudinal axis of the body is disposed substantially vertically, and first and second mooring connection points provided on the body wherein at least the first mooring connection point is positioned such that a load applied via the first mooring connection point to the body acts off axis of the longitudinal axis.

Hybrid Mooring System

The present invention relates to a hybrid mooring system between a stationary production unit (SPU) and a fixed mooring point, wherein the SPU balcony comprises: at least one hydraulic power unit (HPU); at least one rotary winch; and one or more chain-stoppers equipped with an eyebolt. Furthermore, the hybrid mooring system has a mooring line comprising: a fixed mooring point, at least two bottom chain sections, one of which comprises a waiting shackle; a KS hook; an in-line tensioner, a sacrificial line; at least one main polyester cable; at least two mooring pigtails; a top chain line; and an end assembly connection.
