METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING STANDARDISED CONTAINERS BETWEEN A CONTAINER SHIP AND A QUAY
20190241379 · 2019-08-08 ·

Method for transferring standardized containers between a container ship and a quay, using harbor cranes such as a gantry crane, wherein during the entire maneuver, the longitudinal axes of the containers are perpendicular to the edge of the quay. In order to carry out said method, two items are used: a container ship where the standardized containers are arranged with the longitudinal axes thereof orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the ship, and a harbor crane such as a gantry crane used to transfer standardized containers in a position such that the longitudinal axes thereof are orthogonal to the edge of the quay; this allows the gap between legs of the crane to be smaller than that of current cranes as said gap depends on the arrangement of the container as it passes therethrough; thus, a higher number of cranes can operate on the same ship of the same length.

Floating debris removal watercraft and method

A floating debris pickup system that includes watercraft with a forward extending landing door located at the bow that can be selectively lowered or raised by the operator. Attached to the upper edge of the landing door is a rigid net frame. A net is attached to the net frame. During use, the landing door is partially lowered to position the net into the water. The watercraft then trolls to pick up floating debris in the net. The net frame includes at least two upper extending posts which are selectively engage to receivers attached to the landing door. The receivers and posts are oriented so that the net frame is aligned perpendicular to the landing door. The watercraft includes a davit system that allows the net fame to be attached and removed from the landing door and raises the net filled with debris over trash cans located in the hull.

ENERGY SUPPLY ARRANGEMENT
20190222054 · 2019-07-18 · ·

The invention relates to an energy supply (11) for supplying an energy consumer with electrical energy. The energy supply (11) comprises a mounting device (20) as well as a battery (29), a charger device (30) and a load connection (33). The energy supply (11) also comprises an energy connection for connecting an energy source, and an energy converter (31) for converting the energy received at the energy connection into a form of electrical energy which is suitable for charging the battery (29). The energy which is stored in the battery (29) can then be made available at the load connection (33) for supplying one or more energy consumers which are connected thereto. The mounting device (20) is provided here with connecting devices (23, 24) which are compatible with those attachment devices with which corresponding transportation containers can usually be connected to a transportation vehicle. It is therefore possible to arrange such an energy supply (11) for transporting a transportation container between the latter and the appropriate transportation vehicle, wherein for example the kinetic energy of the moved transportation vehicle can be utilised for the charging of the battery (29) in that e.g. the rotation of the wheel axle of the vehicle is converted into electrical energy with a hydraulic generator.

CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION SHIP

The present invention relates to a container transportation ship. More particularly, the present invention relates to a container transportation ship for transporting containers, characterized in that a loading space in which at least one container is loaded and a loading/unloading space configured such that an external transfer means can directly enter/exit in order to load and unload the container, are delimited on the deck of the container transportation ship; and a crane is provided to move the container in the longitudinal direction of the container transportation ship, in the transverse direction thereof, and in the upward/downward direction thereof for the purpose of loading the container on the external transfer means that has entered the loading/unloading space or unloading the container from the external transfer means.

LNG tank container transport ship, and transport method using same

An LNG tank container transport ship, according to one embodiment of the present invention, which has a load space on the inside thereof, in which LNG tank containers storing liquefied natural gas are loaded, comprises: a crane which is arranged on the upper part of the load space so as to catch a container to be transported; at least one horizontal transport frame which guides the horizontal direction movement of the crane; and at least one vertical transport frame which is connected to the horizontal transport frame so as to guide the movement of the crane in the direction perpendicular to the horizontal transport frame. According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is an effect of providing a dedicated transport ship for LNG tank container transport by having therein a separate load space so as to load LNG tank containers.

Shallow draft container carrier
12012183 · 2024-06-18 ·

A long, wide, and low-profile mono-hull vessel able to meet the requirements for an efficient, rapid, and reliable inland waterway container transport system. A shallow draft container carrier may comprise a self-propelled semi-monocoque mono-hull vessel having a double radius ogive bow and octet truss space frame structure. Additional features such as a forward bridge, full beam stern, and distributed electric propulsion system elements may be included. The design provides a vessel that is large, strong, ridged, and fast, able to operate in shallow water, resistant to debris accumulation, with large cargo capacity and low wind load, and potentially with zero-turn radius capability. The aspect ratio provides high capacity with high speed, low drag and fuel-efficient hull form. Integral bow and stern thrusters may provide enhanced safety, control, speed, maneuverability, and zero-turn radius capability. An electric propulsion system combined with traction motors and full beam stern layout may provide greater power while maintaining shallow draft operating capability and flexibility in cargo hold design.

Floating partition and loft for a livestock shipping container

A shipping container for livestock having a plurality of walls, a container roof and a container floor enclosing an interior storage space. The front wall may include a container door and one or more of the sidewalls may be mounted with one or more column support plates that support web support plates. A floating partition, end wing, loft and feed troughs may be mounted with the web support plates. Additionally, the floating partition may be tilted inward to efficiently divide space and provide access to the loft. A catwalk may also be mounted with the floating partition.

A lashing eye assembly includes amounting unit and an eye plate unit which includes two wing members and a bridge member. The wing members are angularly displaced from each other about an axle axis. Each of the wing members has a rim portion and a body portion which is formed with a lashing eye configured to couple a lower end of a lashing rod assembly. The bridge member has an outer interconnecting surface interconnecting outward regions of the rim portions of the wing members, and an inner interconnecting surface which extends in a circumferential direction about the axle axis to interconnect inward regions of the rim portions of the wing members.

POOL NOODLE WITH DRINK HOLDER
20190092433 · 2019-03-28 ·

A pool toy consists of a flexible, buoyant pool noodle with a drink holder mounted to one end. A user sits on or astride the noodle in a well-known manner to float relaxingly in a generally upright posture in a pool, lake, or other body of water. The weight of the user on the flexible noodle causes the noodle to bend into a substantially U-shaped configuration, in which at least one end of the pool noodle projects above the surface of the water. The drink holder is mounted to an end of the pool noodle that is located above the surface of the water, providing a handy location to hold a beverage container.
