Remotely-Controlled Observation Vehicle for Observing Swimmers
A remotely-controlled observation vehicle for observing swimmers is disclosed. The vehicle is designed to float and move on the water, and includes a hull, which is typically sealed. An above-water camera mount is attached to the hull and extends upwardly from it. The above-water camera mount carries one or more cameras. A below-water camera mount is attached to the hull and extends downwardly from it. The below-water camera mount also carries one or more cameras. A first propulsion system is adapted to drive the vehicle through water, and a first steering system is associated with the first propulsion system. The observation vehicle also includes communication and control systems. The vehicle may be fore-aft symmetrical, with a propulsion system and a steering system disposed proximate to each end of the hull. Also disclosed is a system including a vehicle with an associated controller and a data review station.
Fin-based watercraft propulsion system
A watercraft comprises a motor, an inertial mass, and a fin. The motor oscillates the inertial mass about an axis, producing a torque reaction on and oscillation of the motor. Oscillation of the motor is communicated to the fin, producing thrust.
System and method for monitoring underwater organic solid buildup and related emissions background
The present invention generally relates to monitoring underwater organic solid buildup and related emissions, and more particularly to a monitoring system and method using a sonar-equipped drone watercraft and a monitoring controller in communication with the drone watercraft to monitor the underwater organic solid buildup and related emissions and to analyze and present results of the analysis.
Remotely controlled floating cooler assembly and method
A remotely controlled, self-propelled floating cooler includes a main body member that generally has an ovoid shape, as shown, for streamlined movement through the water. The main body member is generally hollow, which allows for ice, drinks, food, and the like to be placed inside of the main body member through an opening or hatch on top. A lid may be removably secured to the opening on top, and preferably includes securing means for maintaining the lid in a closed position, even in rough water. Remotely controlled propulsion means are attached to an underside of the cooler on one end thereof. Other features include an audio receiver with speakers, port and starboard running lights, GPS navigation, submerged spotlights, and video cameras mounted above and below the waterline, all of which may be operated via a remote control device.
WATER SPORTS APPARATUS COMPRISING A WATER VEHICLE AND USE OF A WATER VEHICLE
A water sports apparatus (20) including a water vehicle (30) having a motorized, in particular electric, drive (36), wherein the water vehicle (30) is designed without an onboard steering device, wherein the water sports apparatus (20) includes a tether (40) for towing a water sports enthusiast (62) or a second water sports apparatus (64) along behind the water vehicle (30), wherein the water vehicle (30) includes a fastening device (38) for fastening the tether (40), wherein the tether (40) is fastened or can be fastened by one end to the fastening device (38), wherein the fastening device (38) is arranged in a stern-side half of the water vehicle (30), and wherein a handle (50) for a water sports enthusiast (62) or for a second water sports apparatus (64) is arranged, in particular fastened or fastenable, on another end of the tether (40).
MULTIHULL MODULE
A multihull module is provided. The multihull module includes multiple power floats, an actuation interface controller, and a vehicle controller. The power floats are disposed on a vehicle. The actuation interface controller is coupled to the power floats, and is configured to control the power floats. The vehicle controller is coupled to the actuation interface controller, and is configured to provide a control signal to the actuation interface controller. The actuation interface controller controls the power floats according to the control signal.
Manipulator end effector
In embodiments, a subsea manipulator tool changer comprises an ROV attachable standardized tool receiver and a tool, the subsea manipulator tool changer comprising a standardized tool latch and a standardized tool latch receiver whereby tools can be attached and detached subsea. In other embodiments, a system for changing tools while subsea comprises an ROV, a subsea manipulator tool changer, and a tool caddy configured to accept and release a tool where the tool comprises the standardized tool latch receiver.
MOTORIZED AQUATIC ANIMAL DETERRENT
A motorized, floating device is associated with another aquatic device that carries a passenger or passengers (associated aquatic device). The invention comprises components such as one or more magnetic field emitters that deter aquatic animals from approaching the associated aquatic device without interfering with the operation of the associated aquatic device. The associated aquatic device may be a surfboard, a raft, a personal watercraft, or other similar small craft that floats in water. The invention may be used with larger boats and other watercraft. The motorized aquatic animal deterrent is tethered to the associated aquatic device to follow movement of the associated aquatic device but is spaced apart from the associated aquatic device.
WAVE POWER
A wave-powered water vehicle includes a surface float, a submerged swimmer, and a tether which connects the float and the swimmer, so that the swimmer moves up and down as a result of wave motion. The swimmer includes one or more fins which interact with the water as the swimmer moves up and down, and generate forces which propel the vehicle forward. The vehicle, which need not be manned, can carry communication and control equipment so that it can follow a course directed by signals sent to it, and so that it can record or transmit data from sensors on the vehicle.
