SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING HABITABLE INSTALLATIONS FOR FLOATING STRUCTURES
The invention relates to a method for constructing habitable installations for floating structures, comprising the following steps: lowering a first adapted standard container (3) through at least one vertical prismatic cavity (25) of a carrying structure (2) until it is supported on support brackets (4) of the floor below; securing the first container (3) to said support brackets (4) of the floor below; and, for each subsequent floor, securing a number of subsequent support brackets (4) to the carrying structure (2) on each container (3) already in position; lowering a subsequent container (3) until it is supported on said subsequent support brackets (4); and securing said subsequent container (3) to subsequent support brackets (4) on which it is resting. The invention also includes a habitable installation (1) constructed according to said method, and a container (3) adapted for carrying out said method.
Floating Community
A sustainable floating community based on a mass-produced modular, pre-fabricated kit of parts referred to as floating modular units. The floating modular units are designed to allow for various needs while remaining simple to deliver and assemble by hand in remote destinations prone to volatile shifts in water levels and currents. The floating modular units are ready to assemble, can be erected for use on land and bodies of water, are easily collapsible for transport, thereby serving as highly adaptable transportable structures.
HOUSING UNIT
A housing arrangement for floating on water is provided with a plurality of interconnected pontoonsThe pontoons have a polygon outline. A plurality of shipping containers are arranged on each of the pontoons. The shipping containers are habitable by providing at least one door and at least one window in the shipping containers and by insulating the walls of the shipping containers. A plurality of gangways interconnects the pontoons.
Adaptive observation platform device for sea surface
An observation platform device, including a platform deck, an observation mechanism disposed on the platform deck, a primary swing reduction and self-righting mechanism, and a secondary swing reduction mechanism. The primary swing reduction and self-righting mechanism includes a hollow upper support rod, a solid lower support rod, a buoyant cabin, and a counter weight cabin. The lower support rod includes a lower end fixedly connected to the counter weight cabin, and an upper end fixedly connected to the buoyant cabin. The secondary swing reduction mechanism includes a water pond, a plurality of wing-type supports, and a plurality of spaced fan-shaped floating cabins. The plurality of wing-type supports each includes an upper end fixedly connected to a lower plane of the platform deck, and a lower end fixedly connected to an upper plane of the fan-shaped floating cabins.
MODULAR-TYPE VERY LARGE FLOATING STRUCTURES
A floating structure based on the 700 tensegrity principle is described. A planar closed loop structure (1700) has a plurality of beams (300) and a plurality of beam adapters (700). Each of the plurality of beams (300) is formed by coupling multiple n-strut twisted prism units. Each of the multiple n-strut twisted prism units includes n-sided planar polygonal surfaces on opposite sides through which the respective n-strut twisted prism unit is coupled to another n-strut twisted prism unit or a beam adapter. Each of the plurality of beam adapters (700) is an m-strut twisted prism unit having planar polygonal side faces for coupling to an n-sided planar polygonal surface of a beam (300).

Housing unit
A housing unit with a pontoon having a plurality of shipping containers arranged thereon. The shipping containers have been adapted to be habitable by providing at least one door and at least one window in the shipping containers and by insulating the shipping containers. The pontoon has a flat top, three or more of shipping containers placed on the flat top in a first polygon arrangement with an atrium formed inside the first polygon arrangement. Three or more shipping containers are placed on top the first polygon arrangement to form a second polygon arrangement. The second polygon arrangement is preferably being displaced relative to the first polygon arrangement to obtain a star shaped arrangement.
MODULAR FLOATING AND BOTTOM SITTING NEARSHORE INFRASTRUCTURE
This invention relates to a modular structure for a floating infrastructure. The modular structure comprises a base slab; a basement slab; a base cell form between the base slab and the basement slab; a platform deck; an external waterproof wall extending from a perimeter of the base slab to a perimeter of the platform deck; a honeycomb double wall provided along an internal surface of the external waterproof wall; a bottom hull defined between the base slab and basement slab, wherein the base cell form is between the base slab and the basement slab; and a top hull defined between the basement slab and platform deck, a plurality of columns between the base slab and the platform deck wherein the plurality of columns in the bottom hull are evenly distributed within the honeycomb double wall and the plurality of columns in the top hull are not evenly distributed.
Methods and apparatus of building construction resisting earthquake and flood damage
A three part foundation system for supporting a building is described. Three part foundation systems can include a containment vessel, which constrains a buffer medium to an area above the containment vessel, and a construction platform. A building can be built on the construction platform. In a particular embodiment, during operation, the construction platform and structures built on the construction platform can float on the buffer medium. In an earthquake, a construction platform floating on a buffer medium may experience greatly reduced shear forces. In a flood, a construction platform floating on a buffer medium can be configured to rise as water levels rise to limit flood damage.
Buoying structure and method
A buoying system includes an anchor, a plurality of vertical supports, a plurality of support mounts, and at least one floatation device. The anchor is affixed to the ground, and the plurality of vertical supports are affixed to the anchor. The anchor may comprise a plurality of anchors. The plurality of support mounts is affixed to the housing structure and are constrained laterally by the plurality of vertical supports. The floatation device is configured to elevate the housing structure above the ground in response to water reaching a predetermined lever as a result of a flood event.
