11034416 · 2021-06-15 · ·

A catamaran oil production apparatus is disclosed for producing oil in a marine environment. The apparatus includes first and second vessels that are spaced apart during use. A first frame spans between the vessels. A second frame spans between the vessels. The frames are spaced apart and connected to the vessels in a configuration that spaces the vessels apart. The first frame connects to the first vessel with a universal joint and to the second vessel with a hinged connection. The second frame connects to the second vessel with a universal joint and to the first vessel with a hinged or pinned connection. At least one of the frames supports an oil production platform. One or more risers or riser pipes extends from the seabed (e.g., at a wellhead) to the production platform (or platforms). In one embodiment, the production apparatus includes crew quarters.

System for Offshore Production of Fuel
20230406458 · 2023-12-21 ·

A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted a hydrogen production unit. The hydrogen production unit may produce hydrogen utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced hydrogen may then be blended onboard the marine platform with liquefied natural gas delivered to the marine platform in order to produce a blended fuel comprised of the delivered natural gas and a portion of the produced hydrogen. The blended fuel may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline, or combusted by onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.

CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state is delivered by at least one carrier vessel from at least one CO.sub.2 storage site, which may be an onshore site, to an integrated offshore facility. The integrated offshore facility is provided with at least one on-site storage tank or vessel adapted to store CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state and with equipment for marine transfer of CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state. CO.sub.2 is utilised as required from said at least one on-site storage tank or vessel for EOR at said offshore site or for EGR at said offshore site by injection into a sub-sea oil or natural gas bearing reservoir and recovery of oil and/or natural gas from a resulting production stream.

Transportable service station
10894710 · 2021-01-19 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a service station that is transportable over a predetermined roadway or by water. The service station has a base having a stern, bow, and two lateral sides. The base is configured to displace a volume of water so as to render the service station buoyant. A tank is disposed on the base and is configured to contain fuel. The tank is configured to comply with U.S. Government requirements for transportation of fuel over roadways. A pump is disposed on the base, and is configured to dispense liquid fuel to supply vehicles. An axle assembly is coupled to the base and has at least one wheel, the at least one wheel and axle assembly moveable between an engaged position and a stored position. The least one wheel is in contact with a surface and partially supports the base over the surface in an engaged position.

OFFSHORE LNG PROCESSING FACILITY

An offshore LNG processing plant includes a first module including a personnel accommodation facility on a first vessel, a second module including a gas treatment facility on a second vessel, and a third module including a gas liquefaction facility on a third vessel. Each of the first, second, and third modules are assembled on the corresponding vessels, and then transported to an offshore location in a body of water, such as a river, a lake, or a sea. At the offshore location, each vessel deploys legs to the bed of the body of water to raise a hull of each vessel out of the water. The first module is then coupled to the second module, and the second module is coupled to the third module. A fourth module on a fourth vessel is coupled to the third module to provide LNG storage.

Apparatus And Method For Accelerating The Maturation Of Bourbon Whiskey Using Cyclic Motion
20200325426 · 2020-10-15 ·

An aging apparatus and method for accelerating the maturation of bourbon whiskey distilled spirit having characteristics associated with a much longer maturation process is provided. The method of accelerating the maturation of distilled spirits includes providing a storage warehouse secured in a waterway that produces waves and the storage warehouse has an enclosed interior. The method includes storing a plurality of barrels in the enclosed interior of the storage warehouse with the barrels being filled with distilled spirits. The method also includes moving the storage warehouse and the barrels therein by the waves of the waterway so as to circulate the distilled spirits within the plurality of barrels to thereby accelerate the maturation of the distilled spirits. The aging apparatus includes a base structure and a storage warehouse atop and secured to the base structure. The storage warehouse is sized to accommodate barrels filled with distilled spirts.

Handling of hydrocarbons and equipment of an offshore platform

A method for handling of hydrocarbons on an offshore platform includes the absence of emergency depressurisation for a fire. The method includes arranging the platform such that there is no mechanism for emergency depressurisation of a hydrocarbon inventory of the platform in the event of a fire, restricting the size of the platform such that evacuation of personnel can be achieved prior to escalation of a fire due to the lack of emergency depressurization, and permitting a fire to escalate by combustion of the hydrocarbon inventory after evacuation of the personnel.

Bunkering marine vessel

A bunkering marine vessel has an elongated, multi-deck accommodation structure extending along a portion of the length of one hull side and spaced apart from a centerline extending from bow to stern. Positioned within the vessel hull is at least one LNG pressure vessel filling at least 50% of the hull volume and extending from adjacent a lowermost deck to adjacent the main deck. At least one marine gasoil tank is positioned along an opposing hull side to counter the weight of the accommodation structure. The bow and stern ends of the vessel are substantially the same in shape, and each end includes a marine propulsion system.
