METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HANDLING A MOORING LINE
A method of handling a mooring line having a first end portion attached to a vessel comprises capturing a second end portion of a mooring line with a moveable arm mounted to a towboat. The method also comprises securing a mid-portion of the mooring line between the first end portion and the second end portion with respect to the towboat. The method further comprises moving the second end portion of the mooring line from a first position to a second position whilst the mid-portion of the mooring line is secured to the towboat.

TUGBOAT WITH A CAPSIZING AND SINKING PREVENTION SYSTEM
A tugboat for assisting a marine vessel to maneuver. The tugboat boat comprises an engine driving one or more propulsors with a controllable direction of thrust, a towing line for establishing a pulling connection between an assisted vessel and the tugboat, a first sensor arrangement configured for sensing the size and direction of the pulling force that the towing line exerts on the tugboat, a second sensor arrangement configured for sensing the orientation of the tugboat, a controller in receipt of a signal from the first sensor arrangement and in receipt of a signal from the second sensor arrangement. The controller is informed of the size and direction of thrust generated by the one or more propulsors, and the controller is configured to determine if a safety threshold is exceeded on the basis of: sensed size and direction of thrust, sensed size and direction of the pulling force, and sensed orientation of the tugboat.

TUGBOAT
Described is a tugboat 1 for assisting a marine vessel 2 to manoeuvre. The tugboat 1 comprises a hull 11 having a perimeter P. The tugboat 1 also comprises a line handling system 10 comprising a line guide mechanism 100. The line guide mechanism 100 protrudes, or is positionable to protrude, away from the hull 11 for guiding a line 20 of the marine vessel 2 towards a predetermined region R of the perimeter P.

Vessel for towing another vessel
A vessel for towing another vessel comprises a hull, a tow cable coupled to the hull, a hook having a first leg fixed to a free end of the cable, a second leg including a free end and a hook bottom. The first and second legs form an opening for receiving a rope located at the vessel and launched from another vessel. The first and second legs extend in a main plane. A rope positioning system positions a rope and a hook support for the hook with respect to each other such that the rope extends in transverse direction of the main plane at the opening of the hook when the hook is linked to the hook support. A rope pressing system presses the rope the hook towards the hook bottom when the hook is linked to the hook support, creating a clamping force between the legs and the rope.
