An embodiment includes an open/non-closed hull collar assembly that is shaped to increase encapsulated volume of a hull. The hull collar assembly may include a hull collar structure and a foam module. The hull collar structure may include a gunwale, an outboard boundary, and an inboard boundary. The outboard boundary extends in an outward lateral direction from a lower hull portion and extends in a longitudinal direction from the lower hull portion such that at least a portion of the hull collar structure is at least partially included in a freeboard portion of a boat hull. The inboard boundary extends from the gunwale a portion of a distance to a deck such that the hull collar structure is at least partially open or non-closed to an inner hull volume. The foam module is comprised of a non-expansive, closed cell foam. The foam module is shaped for disposition within the hull collar structure.

The invention relates to a fiber reinforced structural component, which may be used in a surfboard for stand-up paddling, wave riding, wind surfing and the like, comprising a body made of plastic, wherein the body is delimited by a surface, to which a laminate layer made of a fiber mat and a matrix is undetachably connected. The surface has at least one circumferential groove-shaped recess, by means of which a predetermined partial area of the surface is delimited.

MODULAR MULTIPURPOSE OFFSHORE OPERATION PLATFORM, INTEGRATED WORK PLATFORM, AND TRANSPORTATION METHOD

A modular multipurpose offshore operation platform comprises a floating structure having a lower portion submerged below the surface of the sea, and a platform structure provided at an upper surface of the floating structure. An integrated work platform comprises at least two modular multipurpose offshore operation platforms. Framework structures of two adjacent operation platforms are detachably and fixedly connected, and floor boards of the operation platforms collectively form a deck. A transportation method transports goods to the platform by means of a hoist, and a hoist bracket with a rotating roller. The platform can achieve standardized production, and is flexible and has multiple functions.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BODY OF A STRUCTURE

A method of manufacturing a body of a structure includes arranging a plurality of foam components of the body such that each one of the foam components abuts at least one other of the foam components to form a shape. The method also includes applying polyurea along intersection lines of the foam components and covering a surface of the shape, thereby bonding the components together and providing a composite material forming the body of the structure.

BOAT WITH AN IMPROVED BUOYANT BODY

Floating hybrid composite wind turbine platform and tower system with suspended mass

A wind turbine platform configured to float in a body of water and support a wind turbine thereon includes a buoyant hull platform. A wind turbine tower is centrally mounted on the hull platform and a wind turbine is mounted to the wind turbine tower. An anchor is connected to the hull platform and to the seabed, and a weight-adjustable mass is suspended from the hull platform.

BACKLIGHTED SURFACE COVERING
20240025519 · 2024-01-25 · ·

A system and method for lighting a surface, for example a deck of a boat, spa, swim spa, pool, watercraft or vehicle, using backlighting such that decorative or other desired patterns of light may be created by forming cuts, outlines, thin sections, or voids in an overlay that is applied to the lighted surface, allowing light to pass through or around portions of the overlay material. In an exemplary use of the system and method of the invention, the surface may be the surface of a boat or spa. The surface may comprise transparent or translucent materials, allowing light from a first side of the decking, or light that is generated within the decking, to pass through the decking and to emanate from a second decking side, where the light may be blocked, partially blocked, or allowed to pass through the overlay material in any desired pattern or shape.
