This disclosure relates to a game apparatus including a housing, a motion measurement arrangement and a flexible tether. The motion measurement arrangement is at least partially located within the housing and includes a multi-axis pivot member movable relative to the housing in at least two axes. The motion measurement arrangement also includes a sensor arrangement for measuring multi-axis movement of the pivot member. The flexible tether has a free end coupled to a strikable object and a proximal end coupled to the pivot member. The motion measurement arrangement is configured to measure an indication of one or more parameters of the strikable object's motion upon striking of the strikable object by a user.

A method for monitoring the motion of a sport ball that has been impacted by an individual during the course of an athletic activity includes the steps of a portable electronic device wirelessly receiving motion data from the sport ball, and the portable electronic device determining a point of impact based on the motion data, wherein the point of impact includes a location on a surface of the sport ball where the impact occurred.

The soccer system includes a display screen, a plurality of sensors configured to generate sensor data regarding a shot attempt of a user, imaging devices configured to generate image data of the shot attempt, a speaker, and a control unit. The control unit can receive (i) the sensor data from the plurality of sensors and (ii) the image data from the imaging devices. Based on the received sensor data, the control unit can determine whether the shot attempt was successful. Based on the received image data and whether the shot attempt was successful, the control unit can generate analytics that indicate characteristics of the user and the shot attempt and recommendations for improving the shot attempt for subsequent shot attempts. The control unit can provide output data representing the analytics.

An athletic coaching method and jersey system are provided. The method utilizes jerseys with securing elements attached thereto. Number panels having specific player numbers are secured to the jerseys for use during practice. Scout team players wear the jerseys during practice. Each scout team player has a different number to represent the jersey number of a player on an opposing team in an upcoming game. The method allows coaches to more realistically simulate a game against an opposing team in practice. When the opposing team changes for the next game, each scout team player can continue to wear the same jersey but change the jersey number by switching number panels to represent a different player on the team of the next opponent. Thus, jersey numbers can be changed so that a game can be simulated for any opponent.

Elastic athletic systems, including ball rebounder systems, and methods for assembly and use. A ball rebounder system includes a frame having a target portion and a support portion, a net, and a net attachment tool. The net attachment tool increases leverage and may be used to tightly secure the net to the target portion, and an angle between the target portion and the support portion may be adjusted with a foot pedal such that the net rebounds a ball at a higher or lower trajectory depending on the angle. A lower crossbar of the frame may include a plurality of net hooks that secure the net in a forward position such that the ball does not contact the lower crossbar during use. The ball rebounder system may be used to rebound the ball to an athlete as part of training.

A sports projectile delivery system may control the operation of a launcher to cause an American football or other sports projectile to be delivered to a target location on a field. In some aspects, the system can track player movements on the field, e.g., through the use of a tracking device mounted on the player, enabling the ball etc. to be launched to a player in anticipation of where the player will go. An example scoreboard apparatus includes a data transmission module in wireless communication with a user device and configured to wirelessly receive a plurality of game parameters from the user device. The apparatus also includes a score sensor configured to detect a ball passing through a basketball hoop. The apparatus further includes a game execution module configured to operate a basketball game based upon the plurality of received game parameters and record a score of the basketball game based on signals received from the score sensor indicative of the ball passing through the hoop. Additionally, the apparatus includes a camera configured to record video of the basketball game. The data transmission module is configured to transmit the recorded video of the basketball game to the user device in connection with the recorded score.
