FOOTBALL TRAINING APPARATUS
Apparatus for football training is provided which includes a circular wall having an inward facing surface to support rebound of a football, which has been struck in a radial direction against this surface, back along said radial direction towards the centre of the circular wall. Multiple target indications are provided at respective angular locations around the circular wall. The apparatus has a control system for activating a series of target indications in sequence, and a monitoring system for determining whether the inward facing surface of the wall has been struck at the angular location corresponding to an activated target indication.
TRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A training device is described having a net and a frame. The frame has a first side frame, a second side frame defining a net receiving area. The frame includes an adjustable cross-bar with a first section coupled to the first side frame, and a second section coupled to the second side frame. The first section is movable relative to the second section for moving a first portion of the first side frame and a second portion of the second side frame between a net tensioning position a first distance apart and an assembly position a second distance apart. The second distance is less than the first distance. The first distance is a predetermined distance that properly stretches and tensions the net. The net is supported and tensioned to form a concave ramp surface when the adjustable cross-bar is in the net tensioning position.
APPARATUS FOR LAUNCHING A BALL
An apparatus for launching a ball is disclosed. An embodiment of the apparatus includes a ball launching unit including a port for ejecting a ball and a support for supporting the ball launching unit. The ball launching unit is pivotably coupled to the support to permit angular adjustment of the ball launching unit about a horizontal axis of rotation to vary a launch angle of an ejected ball, and wherein the horizontal axis of rotation intersects the port.
System and method for a user adaptive training and gaming platform
A method for adaptive user training and gaming utilizing a media player is disclosed. The method includes operations of receiving, by control logic, data pertaining to selection of a first training program, transmitting, by the control logic, media instructions to cause activation of a media player configured to display visual data corresponding to the first training program, and transmitting, by the control logic, ball-throwing instructions to cause activation of a ball-throwing machine configured to impart motion to one or more balls in accordance with the first training program. The method includes additional operations of recording, by the control logic, an indication of the first training program in a player profile. Additional operations includes recording, by the control logic, training data indicating metrics associated with performance of the first training program.
Multisport targeting device and system
Aspects of the disclosure include devices, systems and methods for providing information to sports participants regarding hitting targets, achieving greater accuracy, and improving skill levels. Such information may include, for example, video information, directional information, and/or real-time updated information that may provide feedback to players for improvement of skills. A targeting device in accordance with an aspect of the disclosure comprises a body, a coupler, coupled to a first portion of the body, a target coupler, coupled to a second portion of the body, an adjusting device coupled to the body for enabling movement of at least one of the coupler and the target coupler, and a target coupled to the target coupler.
VOLLEYBALL SETTER TRAINING GLOVE
An apparatus comprising a pair of gloves, wherein an index finger portion of a left glove is connected to an index finger portion of a right glove, and wherein a thumb portion of the left glove is connected to a thumb portion of the right glove.
Soccer training devices, systems, and methods
A soccer training device and system includes a generally horizontal and planar platform and at least one sloped soccer ball collection trough provided generally around a perimeter of the platform. A segmented cage is provided generally at and around outer bounds of, and vertically above, the platform. At least one sensored gate includes at least one soccer ball impact curtain provided above the at least one soccer ball collection trough to direct soccer balls into the trough, and at least one arrangement of sensors to sense presence of the soccer balls that are impacting the at least one curtain. A ball thrower sequentially receives the soccer balls from the silo, to sequentially deliver the soccer balls to a player on the platform. A control panel and a control box control operation of the soccer training device and system.
Football training tool
Embodiments of the present invention are related to a football training tool with an angled head, a rectangular frustum body, a pair of upper lateral rails, a pair of bottom lateral rails and a bottom. The upper later rails, defined as arms, include foot angle guides. The football training tool may also include a top alignment notch on its head and a bottom alignment notch on its bottom.
Training device for soccer and the like
In certain embodiments, a training device for soccer (European-styie football) has an upper portion configured to be wrapped around an athlete's lower leg and a lower portion configured to be secured onto a shoe worn on the athlete's foot below the lower leg, wherein an outer surface of at least one of the upper and lower portions has a first material configured to mate with a second material on an outer surface of a ball, such that, when the athlete attempts to kick the bail with the foot, the ball will tend to stick to the training device due to mating of the first and second materials (e.g., forming a hook-and-loop assembly). By wearing the training device on the athlete's dominant leg, the athlete learns to kick with their non-dominant leg, thereby becoming a more well-rounded soccer player.
TRAINING DEVICE FOR SOCCER SHOES
A training device and a method of use thereof in improving trapping, dribbling, passing, and like skills in a sport of soccer. The training device includes a cup of an elliptical and concave shape, and the cup can be mounted over a toe portion of the soccer shoe.
