10023280 · 2018-07-17 · ·

A device for winding and unwinding a cable including a winch comprises a chassis, an electric motor for driving a drum in rotation in relation to the chassis, locking/unlocking means comprising a first induction coil and configured such as to immobilize the drum in relation to the chassis when the first coil is not being powered electrically, the device including a second induction coil that is powered electrically, dimensioned and arranged such that the magnetic field generated by the assembly formed by the first and second coils, when the first coil is powered electrically, is less than the magnetic field generated by the first coil at a point located at a distance from the winch that is greater than a predetermined threshold, the electrical energizing and de-energizing of the second coil being synchronized with the electrical energizing and respectively de-energizing of the first coil.

Hybrid Chassis Breaching System

A robotic amphibious mine breaching system including a hybrid chassis with deployable Mat Modules provides a detection and navigation grid with breaching mechanisms to range from underwater to edge of shore, the beach and continue inland. A computer-controlled transmitter and receiver unit integrates signals from different spatial locations establishing a grid. The surface and underwater mine counter-measure system deploys transponders and sensors to detect anomalies in the electromagnetic field caused by both magnetic and non-magnetic objects therein during underwater travel creating a cleared navigational grid establishing landing lanes for Force Protection and Maneuver Capabilities.

Remote control mine neutralization delivery system

Mine neutralization provides for radio control of a small boat having associated therewith: a projection mounted onto the boat and pointing forward; a primary magnet; a housing holding the primary magnet and joined at the front end of the projection; a fluid-dynamically shaped explosive device detachably attached underneath the boat; at least one secondary magnet affixed to the explosive device; and, a rope or cable tautly connected at its upper end to the primary magnet and at its lower end to the explosive device. The boat journeys near a floating mine to bring about magnetic interaction between the primary magnet and the mine. The primary magnet magnetically attaches to the mine, and a pulling force is exerted on the explosive device. The explosive device detaches from the boat, moves toward the mine, and magnetically attaches (via at least one secondary magnet) to the mine.

Magnetic Mine Sweeping

A magnetic mine countermeasure payload device with a non-magnetic plate, and magnetic elements, each having a north magnetic pole and a south magnetic pole, affixed to the plate in a magnetic array. A rotational shaft is coupled to the plate, with a motor coupled to the shaft, and an electrical power source electrically connected to the motor. The motor is configured to at least one of selectively rotate the magnetic array, thereby creating an AC magnetic moment in the magnetic mine countermeasure payload device, and not rotate the magnetic array, thereby enabling a DC magnetic moment in the magnetic mine countermeasure payload device.
