TRACTION KITE APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
A traction kite anchoring device for attachment to a harness worn by a user to transfer force from a traction kite to the user. The traction kite anchoring device comprising a first member at an end of at least one line connected to a said kite and a chicken loop for attachment to a said harness and releasably connected to said first member, wherein the chicken loop has a first end comprising an anchor able to be received and secured at an anchor receiver of the first member in a releasable and tool-less manner.
KITE ANCHOR QUICK RELEASE APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
A traction kite anchor device has a base provided at an end of at least one kite line and a release member able to move relative the base by a hand of a user of the kite. A trip arm is pivotally connected to the base to move between a first rotational position relative the base and a second rotational position relative to the base. The trip arm carries a latch that can lock and release a catch of a chicken loop upon moving the release member relative the base.
SAFETY RELEASE MECHANISM FOR KITE-SURFING
A safety release mechanism for kite surfing with a safety release member by which a kite surfer is attached to the body. A locking element detachably secures an attachment end of the safety release member to the body. A resilient element urges the locking element into the unlocked position, such that upon release for the locking element, the resilient element moves the locking element to the unlocked position thereby resulting in a release of the attachment end of the safety release member, regardless of the orientation of the device, the orientation of the kite, or the available strength of the kite surfer.
SWIVEL LOCK QUICK RELEASE DEVICE
The swivel lock quick release device is adapted to selectively attach a user to a sports equipment. The sports equipment may be watersports equipment, such as a surfboard, a kite surfing apparatus, a stand-up paddle board, sailing equipment, a wake board, etc., or land sports equipment, such as fishing, camping, climbing, animal collars or leashes, tactical rifle apparatus, and hunting equipment. The swivel lock quick release device can have a pull release and a protrusion, the pull release and the protrusion being adapted to be selectively engaged in a locked position is provided. A slide handle, a portion of the pull release, is adapted to be selectively moved in a coaxial direction by the user to disengage the pull release and the protrusion. The pull release can also be adapted to rotate or swivel around the protrusion.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR KITE INCLUDING QUICK RELEASE
A control system for a kite having a quick release loop assembly includes a retention mechanism configured to release one end of the loop upon sliding a handle from a covered disposition to an uncovered disposition. The quick release assembly also includes a mechanism to untwist a landing line tube from a static line automatically, and to automatically index a landing line.
Front line kite depower system
A front flying line kite depower system includes a line sheath that extends through a transverse opening in the control bar. A front flying line parting fitting is non-rotatably fixed to an upper end of the line sheath above the control bar. When a manual rotation force is imparted to the line sheath, the relative positioning of a first front flying line and a second front flying line is altered by the front flying line parting fitting to untangle any twisting above the line sheath. Within the line sheath, the second front flying line is off-set from a primary axis and orbits the first front flying line which is positioned on the primary axis to avoid any tangling during manual adjustment.
Kite control bar with integrated line adjustment means
A kite control bar having a line guide extending with a fixed pawl towards one end. A reel is pivotally mounted towards one end of the control bar and extending into the line receiving channel. The reel has a fixed shaft with a knob on the shaft to enabling manual rotation of the reel. The reel has a ratchet gear. The reel is pivotally movable from an engaged positioned in which the ratchet gear of the reel is engaged with the pawl on the control bar thereby preventing rotation of the reel and a disengaged position in which the ratchet gear of the reel is disengaged from the pawl on the control bar thereby allowing rotation of the reel. The reel is biased into the engaged position. The reel is moved from the engaged position to the disengaged position by pushing the knob away from a center of the control bar.
COUPLING SYSTEM, ASSEMBLY OF AN EQUIPMENT RIGIDLY CONNECTED TO A USER AND A COUPLING SYSTEM AND KITEBOARDING KITE BAR
Disclosed is a coupling system for coupling a piece of equipment rigidly connected to a user with at least one rigging strand, including a central body made of two parts configured to be assembled with one another via an attachment unit, a fastener including two ends, a shell configured to at least partially cover the side surface of the central body, and at least one lock configured to engage with the shell in order to releasably lock the second end of the fastener, the shell being movable in translation over the side surface of the central body and being connected to the central body via at least one elastic recall component.
