An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a propeller, a driving device, and an elastic abutting member sleeve. The propeller includes a blade base, a blade mounted on the blade base, and a first installation foolproof member disposed on the blade base. The driving device includes a main body, a driving shaft rotatable relative to the main body, a locking member disposed on the main body, and a second installation foolproof member disposed on the locking member. The driving device is coupled with the propeller. The elastic abutting member is coupled with the driving shaft and disposed between the main body and the blade base and abuts against the main body and the blade base.
FOLDABLE ROTOR ASSEMBLY FOR FIXED-WING VTOL AIRCRAFT
A rotor assembly for a fixed-wing VTOL aircraft. The rotor assembly is configured to provide vertical flight for the fixed-wing VTOL aircraft. In one embodiment, the rotor assembly includes a hub assembly, a first rotor blade affixed to the hub assembly, and a second rotor blade affixed to the hub assembly. The hub assembly orients the second rotor blade in relation to the first rotor blade about an axis of rotation of the hub assembly with the first rotor blade and the second rotor blade vertically stacked when the hub assembly is stopped for wing-borne flight.
FOLDABLE ROTOR ASSEMBLY FOR FIXED-WING VTOL AIRCRAFT
A rotor assembly for a fixed-wing VTOL aircraft. The rotor assembly is configured to provide vertical flight for the fixed-wing VTOL aircraft. In one embodiment, the rotor assembly includes a hub assembly, a first rotor blade affixed to the hub assembly, and a second rotor blade affixed to the hub assembly. The hub assembly orients the second rotor blade in relation to the first rotor blade about an axis of rotation of the hub assembly with the first rotor blade and the second rotor blade vertically stacked when the hub assembly is stopped for wing-borne flight.
Counter-rotating propellers for aerial vehicle
An aerial vehicle includes an airframe; vertical propulsion units, and a controller. The vertical propulsion units are mounted to the airframe and include propellers oriented to provide vertical propulsion to the aerial vehicle. The vertical propulsion units are physically organized in quadrants on the airframe with each of the quadrants including two or more of the vertical propulsion units. The controller is coupled to the vertical propulsion units to control operation of the vertical propulsion units. At least two of the vertical propulsion units in each of the quadrants are adapted to counter-rotate from each other during flight of the aerial vehicle.

Propeller assemblies, aircraft including the same, and associated methods. A propeller assembly includes a first propeller and a second propeller operatively coupled to a coupling shaft and configured to pivot with respect to one another about a propeller rotation axis. The propeller assembly additionally includes a coupling assembly operatively coupled to the first propeller and the second propeller and configured to transition between a plurality of pivotal configurations defined between and including a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. The coupling assembly transitions from the stowed configuration toward the deployed configuration when a coupling assembly rotational velocity rises above a threshold stowed rotational velocity. In examples, an aircraft includes one or more propeller assemblies operatively coupled to a fuselage. In some examples, a method of operating a propeller assembly includes automatically transitioning a coupling assembly of the propeller assembly between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration.
PROPELLER BLADE ARRANGEMENT
A propeller blade arrangement comprising a propeller blade attached to and rotatable with a hub, via a retention bearing, the blade being rotatable about a center line of the blade, the retention bearing configured to tilt the blade such that its center line is tilted with respect to the hub.
