Fixed flexible multi-use striking training device
A training device comprising a flexible rod capable of being mounted at an upper end to an upper structure, such as a ceiling, and at a lower end to a lower structure, such as a floor, and a punching bag mounted to the flexible rod. The flexible rod may be capable of deformation followed by a quick return to an original position when the punching bag is struck.
Systems and methods for practicing strikes
A strike practice assembly includes a striking arm, a framework for supporting said striking arm and providing a rotational axis therefor, and, optionally, one or more elastic band members that can be configured to resiliently return said striking arm to a pre-strike position after being struck.
PUNCHING DEVICE
A punching device including a rectangular inflatable sleeve, an elongated pump for inflating the sleeve, an adaptation of the sleeve for allowing the sleeve to be rolled around the elongated pump, a connector for connecting opposite sides of the rectangular sleeve, and a carrying strap attached to the elongated pump, for carrying the device, thereby generating a portable and compact punching device that can be used indoors and outdoors.
INTERACTIVE HEAVY BAG TRAINING APPARATUS WITH DYNAMIC POSITIONING AND ADAPTIVE CONTROL
An apparatus, method, and a non-transitory programmed medium provide a structure to move a heavy bag to simulate sparring along with a method and programmed media to provide selective training experiences. Drive motors in a Cartesian gantry provide multi-axis lateral motion in a horizontal plane. The heavy bag is instrumented to generate information indicative of performance of the user. Also, the heavy bag receives information to prompt a user with indicators such as LEDs. A moving target simulates a boxing match. A user responds to motions of a heavy bag in an X-Y plane whether toward or away from the user. It may be used as a sparring partner. Electronic controls provide a pre-selected pattern of movement. Training programs include sequences designed by professional boxers and trainers. Controls may be adaptive to vary responses of the apparatus in response to user performance.
METHOD OF REAL TIME MONITORING OF A PERSON DURING AN EVENT AND EVENT DYNAMICS SYSTEM THEREOF
A method of monitoring at least one person in an event, comprises providing at least one sensor associated with the person, measuring data using the at least one sensor, wherein the measured data includes data representative of a motion of at least one part of the person's body, the method further comprising, by a processing unit based at least on said data, determining at least one insight, wherein said insight is characteristic of at least one of (a) an action performed by the person in the event and (b) an event situation, thereby facilitating characterization of at least one of the person and the event.
Punching Bag with Multiple Strike Targets
A punching bag with multiple strike targets features a punching bag body, a plurality of cutouts, and a plurality of strike targets, the punching bag body extending between an upper end and a lower end. The plurality of cutouts traverse into the punching bag body and provide spaces within which the plurality of strike targets are connected. An upper strike target is positioned within an upper cutout, representing an opponent's head, and a lower strike target is positioned within a lower cutout, representing an opponent's midsection. The punching bag body may be hung from an elevated mounting point by a plurality of straps connected to the upper end of the punching bag body, or the punching bag body may be supported above a floor or other surface by a base connected to the lower end of the punching bag body.
Air cannon and associated launch canister for a line-fouling system
FIG. 7 shows an air cannon system loaded with a launch canister containing a prop-fouler. A pressure vessel (28) contains an inlet including a poppet valve (100) that, upon command, can be selectively placed in either a one-way flow position to permit charging of the pressure vessel or otherwise opened to trigger rapid discharge through pressure equalization with the ambient environment. The air cannon may include multiple splayed barrels or a single barrel (158). A launch canister (202), realized in the form of a tube, has a driving plate (350) that closes an end of the launch tube. The driving plate is the first point loaded into the barrel. Within the launch canister (202) a first portion of a floating prop-fouling line is stored. The prop-fouling line, such as made from Dyneema, has at its ends two drogues that, upon entry into the water, fill with water to produce drag resistance to movement of the prop-fouling line. To avoid undue stress on canopy panels of each drogue and to avoid twisting of shroud lines (312) to the canopy, a rotating shackle (310a, 310b) acts as a coupling point between the shroud lines (312) and the prop-fouling line. Only one drogue (306), its associated coupling and a selected length prop-fouling line are loaded into the launch canister, with the other drogue and its rotating shackle (310b) loaded into a cradle (166). Upon firing, gas expansion causes the rapid acceleration and ejection of the launch tube (202) and generally straight line deployment of the prop-fouling line (302).
Invertible Punching Bag Assembly
The present invention generally relates to a physical impact bag. Specifically, the present invention is an invertible punching bag having a suspension assembly on its first and second ends, enabling a user to selectively invert the orientation of the punching bag.
BLOCKING PAD AND A METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A system, method, and blocking pad for receiving strikes from a special individual. The blocking pad includes a pad configured to receive the blows from the special individual. The blocking pad further includes a number of handles connected to a back of the pad. The number of handles include at least two handles in a middle portion of the back of the pad and at least a handle at ends of the pad.
Board breaking apparatus and method
A board holder that is adapted for martial arts training has an elongate rod and at least one clamp disposed on an exterior surface of the elongate rod. The at least one clamp has a first clamping wall and a second clamping wall. The first and second clamping walls are adapted to secure a board. The board holder may also have a mount that is configured to be secured to a wall or a punching bag. Advantageously, a person may grip the board holder during training, as well as secure the board holder to the wall or punching bag.
