An aircraft frame includes a fuselage, at least one boom and a wing structure including a first lifting surface having a first root portion located proximate the at least one boom and a first tip portion where at least a portion of the first tip portion is located forwardly from at least a portion of the first root portion, a second lifting surface having a second root portion located proximate the fuselage, and a second tip portion located spaced from the first tip portion where at least a portion of the second tip portion is located rearwardly from at least a portion of the second root portion, and a connector surface extending between the first and second tip portions.

VTOL tail sitting aircraft with rotor blown nonplanar wing configuration
12545402 · 2026-02-10 ·

A tail sitting VTOL aircraft with nonplanar tandem rotor blown wing configuration, capable of traveling in an airplane mode with its fuselage oriented horizontally, and a hover mode during take-off and landing with its fuselage oriented vertically, with capability to have precise controlled hover, and capability of making controlled and safe assisted transition between two modes during a horizontal movement and without need for much headroom and overhead clearance. Transition from hover mode to airplane mode is performed by moving forward in hover mode and rotating the fuselage around the pitch axis by the assist of the moment created by differential thrust of the propellers, or the moment created by differential lift created by the rotor blown tandem airfoil-shaped cross section bodies or a combination of both.

Multiple flight mode aircraft architectures and controls

An aircraft is disclosed. The aircraft includes a first pair of wings, each wing in the first pair of wings including one or more actuating flaps configured to move to facilitate the aircraft transitioning between a forward cruise mode and a vertical hover mode, and operating in one of the forward cruise mode or the vertical hover mode. The aircraft further includes a second pair of wings, and one or more propellers coupled to the second pair of wings and oriented horizontally to provide upward lift.

Loitering Craft

A craft is provided comprising: a propulsion system; a fuselage coupled with the propulsion system, wherein the fuselage is configured to carry a payload and fuel for the propulsion system; and a pre-assembled wing coupled with the fuselage; wherein the craft is designed to take-off without using a runway and does not have landing gear to land.
