Projection cassette assemblies and related systems for use with aircraft seats
A projection system for use with an aircraft seat includes a cassette frame defining an open ended cavity, a front panel configured to couple to a front of the cassette frame to enclose the cavity, and a projector system held in the cavity. The cassette frame includes a rear panel, an upper panel extending outwardly away from the rear panel, a lower panel extending outwardly away from the rear panel, and first and second side panels extending outwardly from the rear panel. The rear panel, the upper panel, the lower panel and the first and second side panels define an open ended cavity. The projector system and the front panel are configured such that an image and/or video projected by the projector system is projected from the cavity through the front panel. The cassette frame is sized and configured to be received and releasably held in an aircraft seatback.
APPARATUS FOR HOLDING A PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A device holder that may be used as a freestanding device or may hang from a surface. The device holder allows the portable electronic device (PED) to be adjusted to multiple viewing angles. The device holder includes three (3) general components: a connector that hangs or hooks onto a surface, a support wall to lean the PED against, and a base to support the bottom of the PED. The three (3) components may be coupled to each other with hinge and/or linking mechanisms. The hinge and/or linking mechanisms may be removable, such that the components may couple and decouple from each other. The hinge or linking mechanisms may allow the angles between the components to be adjusted and/or the device holder to fold flat. The device holder may include securing means to secure the PED against the support wall.
Portable electronic device holder
Various embodiments provide a portable electronic device holder (400, 500, 600, 700, 900, 1100, 1400) for a passenger seat (202), including a longitudinal clamping structure (420, 520) having a generally L-shaped cross-section. The clamping structure includes a supporting flap (422, 522) forming an L-base of the generally L-shaped clamping structure and configured to support a portable electronic device, and a clamping flap (424, 524) forming an L-leg of the generally L-shaped clamping structure and configured to clamp the portable electronic device against a surface (650) abutting the portable electronic device. The portable electronic device holder further includes a mounting element (410, 510) for slidably or titlably mounting the clamping structure to the passenger seat.
Systems and methods for providing quick release of video monitors from an assembly
A quick release assembly for use in mounting a display system to a fixture. The system includes an attachment assembly on a back side of the display system that receives pins from a mounting bracket into openings of lock modules that include a latch that holds at least one pin in place. The latch is held in the lock position by spring bias. An actuator wire made of a shape memory alloy contracts when an electrical current is applied. The contraction of the wire overcomes the spring bias to move the latch from the lock position to an unlocked position to allow the display system to be removed from the pin.
Screen support configured for attachment to a backrest of a seat
A screen support configured to attach a screen to a seat equipped with a rear enclosure and including an attachment system configured to clamp the rods of a headrest of the seat, a support system including a limb connected to the attachment system and at least one support runner connected to the limb and configured to bear against the rear enclosure, and an engagement system configured to permit the temporary attachment of a screen and connected to the third limb.
Personal device carrier and a passenger seat
A personal device carrier for a passenger seat. The personal device carrier has a backing plate integrated into a backside of the passenger seat and a folding tray assembly with a base adjustably coupled to the backing plate for vertical movement of the folding tray assembly relative to the backing plate. The folding tray assembly includes a tray rotationally mounted to the base and movable between a generally vertical stowed position and a generally horizontal deployed position for holding a personal device.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOLDING ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLES
A holding assembly for holding portable electronic devices increases passenger convenience and comfort. The holding assembly comprises a plurality of independently movable planar members that engage one or more portable electronic devices to hold the portable electronic devices. The planar members may each be moved between a first position and a second position. The holding assembly may be opened to hold a portable electronic device and closed when not in use in this manner.
Seat system
A seat system for a passenger aircraft. The seat system includes at least one passenger seat and a stowable clamshell holder for a personal electronic device installed into the back of the passenger seat. The personal electronic device (PED) holder includes a door adapted to be movable between an open position and a closed position and a pair of opposed retainers adapted to hold a personal electronic device. The pair of retainers includes a lower back retainer and an upper front retainer whereby the lower back retainer extends above the upper front retainer. The seat system may further include a seat back tray table attached to the back of the passenger seat.
Amenities modules
A passenger seat includes a tray table and an amenities module. The passenger seat has at least one first configuration where the amenities module is concealed by the tray table and at least one second configuration where the amenities module is exposed. The tray table is approximately parallel to a seatback surface of the passenger seat in the at least one first configuration and in the at least one second configuration.
INFRASTRUCTURE FOR MOBILE DEVICES AND ELECTRONIC LOOSE EQUIPMENT
A new infrastructure for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment, preferably an aircraft infrastructure, is designed to be deployed for both new production aircraft and the after-market installed base for all parts of the aircraft that have human interaction, such as the galley, cockpit or cabin. The architecture is designed around two main objectives: creating stylized and functional products with flexibility in design and providing reliability and maintainability for operators while integrating power and charging mediums to those devices. This architecture is composed of several elements that as a whole complete our new architecture for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment design.
