Tuned aircraft lighting for an improved flight experience
10202194 · 2019-02-12 · ·

A method and apparatus for managing lighting during a flight. Light is emitted from a lighting system comprised of light devices positioned within an interior of the aircraft. Operation of the lighting system is controlled to create a first light scene, a second light scene, and a third light scene. The first light scene has a first spectral distribution that includes first light having a first wavelength of between about 436 nanometers and about 486 nanometers. The second light scene has a second spectral distribution that includes second light having a second wavelength between about 606 nanometers to about 656 nanometers. The third light scene has a third spectral distribution that includes third light having a third wavelength between about 530 nanometers and about 580 nanometers. Creating different light scenes during different periods of flight improves an overall well-being and flight experience of persons onboard the aircraft during the flight.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL CONTAINER SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A CONTAINER UTILIZABLE IN A CARGO COMPARTMENT OF AN AIRCRAFT
20180273180 · 2018-09-27 ·

A multifunctional container system for producing a container for a cargo compartment of an aircraft includes a first lateral container component, which forms a first lateral surface of the container that is at least partially beveled, a first lower resting surface having first fastening devices and a first top side, a second lateral container component, which forms a second lateral surface of the container that is at least partially beveled, a second lower resting surface having second fastening devices and a second top side, and a floor cladding. The cladding is selectively positionable between the first resting surface and the second resting surface, which enclose a continuous gap to each other and comprise a predetermined distance to each other and to create a protrusion that faces away from the first and second top side. The protrusion extends into a recess of a floor in a cargo compartment.

Lower deck mobile crew rest with lowered floor

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to lower deck mobile crew rests and improvements to the user experience and use of space therein. There is provided a lower floor with a second floor surface that can be extended and retracted with respect to the lower floor.

SYSTEM FOR DEPLOYING A SEPARATION CURTAIN TO CREATE A RESTING SPACE INSIDE AN AIRCRAFT CABIN
20240409219 · 2024-12-12 ·

The invention relates primarily to an assembly for an aircraft cabin (10), comprising: at least one seat unit (11) comprising a seat (12) and a privacy shell (13) extending at least partially around the seat (12), at least one separation curtain (21), and a storage compartment (18) delimiting an internal volume (22), a system (20) for deploying the separation curtain (21) being configured to selectively switch the separation curtain (21) between: a stored state in which said separation curtain (21) is disposed predominantly inside the internal volume (22) of the storage compartment (18), and a deployed state in which said separation curtain (21) is disposed predominantly outside the internal volume (22) of the storage compartment (18) so as to at least partially delimit an enclosed resting space (25) around the seat unit (11).

REMOVABLE DEVICE FOR HOLDING AN ISOLATING CURTAIN FOR THE CREATION OF A REST SPACE INSIDE AN AIRCRAFT CABIN
20240409220 · 2024-12-12 ·

An assembly for an aircraft cabin includes at least one seat unit including a seat and a privacy shell extending at least partially around the seat, a compartment, such as a luggage compartment, at least one isolating curtain added to the compartment, and a removable device for holding the isolating curtain. The removable device being configured to hold the isolating curtain suspended from the compartment, so as to at least partially define a closed rest space around the seat unit and to permit manual detachment of the isolating curtain from the compartment without requiring a tool.

System and method to enhance in-flight controlled rest for flight crew

In one embodiment, a system to enhance in-flight controlled rest for a flight crew includes a pilot user interface, a co-pilot user interface, and a flight crew monitoring system. The flight crew monitoring system is configured to: (i) determine a physiological state of both a pilot and a co-pilot, (ii) selectively generate one or more alerts for the pilot and/or the co-pilot based on the determined physiological state, (iii) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the pilot upon receipt of a first inhibit signal from the pilot user interface, (iv) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the co-pilot upon receipt of a second inhibit signal from the co-pilot user interface, and (v) generate and store data indicating a time of day and a duration that the one or more alerts for the pilot or co-pilot, respectively, were inhibited.
