PASSENGER SEAT WITH COMFORT LAYOUT
A passenger seat (10) with a sitting area (40), a side ottoman (42), an open space (44) that may be enclosed via use of a bed extension (50), and a backrest (14). The backrest may be divided into an upper portion and a lower portion. The seat may also be provided with one or more storage areas and/or a side console.
PASSENGER MODULE, PASSENGER SEATING ARRANGEMENT
The invention relates to a passenger module (M) for a vehicle cabin (3), in particular an aircraft cabin, comprising two seats (1, 2) arranged between a first side element (FE) and a second side element (SE), wherein the first side element (FE) and the second side element (SE) extending parallel to each other, the seats (1, 2) are arranged substantially one behind another and facing substantially in a same direction, wherein a front seat (1) is positioned angled by a predefined first angle (α) around its vertical axis (sz) in a direction towards the first side element (FE), and
a rear seat (2) is positioned angled by a predefined second angle (β) around its vertical axis (sz′) in a direction towards the second side element (SE). Further, the invention relates to a passenger seating arrangement (PA) for a vehicle cabin (3).
Double-deck passenger vehicle
A conventional passenger vehicle has a lower deck and an upper deck on both sides of its aisle to double its seating areas. Each deck has ceiling and seat heights about the same as that in sedans, and hence without substantially increasing the vehicle height. Both decks are divided into seating sections with partition walls, and in a seating section each deck contains only a row of power reclining seats. Each seat has a power footrest mounted separately on the partition wall in front of the seat for sitting comfort and forming a bed with the seat. The footrest can also be placed to higher elevations to use as a table for eating or working. The footrest is stored vertically to allow more leg room for the seat. In some section of the vehicle each seating section may mount two rows of sitting-only seats to increase the vehicle capacity.
INFLATABLE HOOD FOR AIR PROTECTION
A protective hood for air travel including a plurality of deformable partitions coupled to each other defining an inner cavity, wherein in a folded position the inner cavity is collapsed to a negligible size and in an unfolded position the inner cavity is configured to comfortably confine an human head, wherein one of the partitions includes a deformable opening configured to be stretched and fit over a head, and at least one coupling mechanism configured to attach one of the deformable partitions to an aircraft seat.
Holding apparatus
An apparatus for a vehicle having a carriage and a rotatable insert configured to be moved between a stowed position and an open position in the carriage. The carriage is configured to be mounted within a side-ledge and includes a first carriage panel having a first slot and a second slot. The first slot has an arcuate curve thereto and the second slot is linear. The rotatable insert includes a first insert panel and a compartment. The first insert panel includes first and second protrusions extending therefrom that are configured to respectively engage the first and second slots such that, as the rotatable insert is moved to the open position, the first and second protrusions travel respectively up the first and second slots. The compartment that is hidden when in the stowed position and can carry at least one item when in the open position.
BI-FOLD COMPARTMENT DOOR WITH SPRING ASSIST AND CAM LATCH
Disclosed is a door assembly for enclosing a compartment, for instance a cabin attendant seat (CAS) compartment. The assembly generally includes spaced guides for guiding opening and closing movement of a bi-fold door including coupled upper and lower door sections. The door sections are coupled through an interface that allows vertical displacement of the lower door section relative to the upper door section when the door assembly is in the closed condition to engage or disengage latches from respective catches. In some embodiments, the assembly further includes cam latches and a biasing mechanism for driving bi-fold door movement toward the open condition, among other features.
Spring clutch arm assembly
A spring clutch arm assembly includes a moveable arm comprising a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration, a fixed shaft, and a spring portion comprising a moving portion with a distal end and a coil portion wrapped around the fixed shaft. The moveable arm may include a moveable member. The distal end may be attached to the moveable member. The moveable arm may be held in the deployed configuration by the spring portion.
Aircraft monument and a seat assembly
An aircraft monument for use in a cabin of an aircraft includes a monument assembly and a seat assembly. The monument assembly includes a frame having a plurality of walls defining a compartment. The plurality of walls include a first end wall having a forward section at a forward plane of the frame. The compartment is defined rearward of the forward section. The seat assembly is forward of the frame. The seat assembly has a shell configured to at least partially surround a passenger seat. The shell has a rear rearward of the forward plane of the frame.
Seat unit structure, seat unit, and attachment method thereof
An object of the present invention is to provide a seat unit structure, a seat unit, and an attachment method thereof in which component reinstallation does not arise when the seat unit is attached in an aircraft. One representative seat unit structure according to the present invention relates to a seat unit structure configured to support a seat, wherein the structure has a lower structure having a monocoque structure and defines an outermost shell in at least one direction of the seat unit. That is, the member mounted in the one direction of the seat unit can be stored inside the outermost shell of the structure. In addition, the one direction is the width direction of the airframe.
USE OF FORWARD CLOSET IN SINGLE AISLE AIRCRAFT FOR WHEELCHAIR ACCOMMODATION
A passenger cabin layout including a closet and a closet positionable in a cabin such as an aircraft passenger cabin. The closet includes a first compartment for accommodating a wheelchair, such as an occupied wheelchair, in an unfolded condition, wherein the first compartment is enterable from an aisle in the cabin, such as a branch aisle extending from a door of the aircraft. The closet further includes a second compartment for storing items. In some embodiments, the first compartment is further enterable from a second branch aisle forward of at least one passenger seat, such as a seat row facing the closet. The first compartment is configured to accommodate a personal wheelchair and in some embodiments includes a floor pallet for securing the wheelchair in place in atop the pallet.
