20170297723 · 2017-10-19 ·

A seat rail cover includes a retaining section, configured to be introduced at least partially into a part of the seat rail, and a cover section, configured to cover the seat rail when the retaining section is introduced into the seat rail. At least the cover section of the seat rail cover is formed in one piece by 3D printing. Geometry, surface texture, color composition and/or color pattern of at least a visible part of the cover section in the installed state of the seat rail cover are matched to a surface and/or a floor covering of a floor element next to a seat rail to which the seat rail cover is connectable. Furthermore, a floor element with a seat rail and a seat rail cover as well as an aircraft with such a floor element. A method for manufacturing a seat rail cover by 3D printing.

Frameless transit seat

A frameless transit seat is used for carrying passengers in a transit vehicle. The transit seat is comprised of at least two pedestals which connect the seating portion to the vehicle floor and which distribute the weight of the seat and its passenger(s). Under the passenger, at least two side supports are affixed on top of the pedestals, and one or more crossbars or stabilizers, without any rack frame structures connecting the pedestals. A variant of the transit seat has two seats and uses a mounting plate to connect the two inner side supports to a central pedestal. The components of the transit seat include hollow beams, bent sheet metal, and other components optimized to decrease mass while retaining maximum strength. Optionally, the seat may recline and be upholstered in a variety of covering options.

Seat adjustment device and aircraft or spacecraft

The present invention provides a seat adjustment device for an aircraft or spacecraft, comprising: a seat rail for connection to a floor; and a seat connection for connection to at least one seat; and a worm is provided which can be actuated to adjust the seat connection relative to the seat rail.

Aircraft seat attachment system provided with a system for locking an activation lever and/or for maintaining a clamping force by friction

The invention relates to an aircraft seat attachment (100) including a body (20), a plunger (30), and an activation lever (50). The activation lever (50) includes a locking system (54) adapted to go from an open position corresponding to a free state of the activation lever (50) to a closed position corresponding to a locked state of the activation lever (50). The attachment also enables, in a locked state of said attachment, clamping of a seat rail between at least one boss (22) of said body (20) and the plunger (30), which includes a system (41) for maintaining by friction a force clamping the attachment to the rail in the locked state so that the activation lever (50) does not participate in maintaining said clamping force.

Aircraft seating systems

A method and apparatus comprising a plurality of seating systems and a frame for use in a passenger aircraft. A first seating system in the plurality of seating systems may have different dimensions from a second seating system in the plurality of seating systems. A frame may be configured to be connected to the plurality of seating systems.

EXPANDABLE SEAT LEG ATTACHMENT FIXTURE
20170274999 · 2017-09-28 · ·

Described is an extendable joint (10,100) for attaching a passenger seat to a cabin floor or support structure. The extendable joint (10,100) exhibits behavior of a rigid mounting during normal usage, such as when carrying or securing passengers or luggage. However, if a force threshold is exceeded, such as with an emergency situation, the extendable joint (10,100) may lengthen to absorb energy applied from the cabin floor through the passenger seat and vice versa. Additional force damping mechanisms may also be incorporated into the joint to further absorb, distribute, or reduce loadings that may otherwise separate the passenger seat from the floor or support structure.

AIRCRAFT SEAT

A seat attachable to a floor of a vehicle includes a seat frame movable between a first position and a second position and a mounting assembly attached to the seat frame and configured to be secured to the floor. The mounting assembly and seat frame are configured so that when the seat frame is in the second position first and second sliding assemblies of the mounting assembly are both located in forwardly extended positions and no part of the mounting assembly contacts the floor forward of a front connection of the mounting assembly.

FOLDABLE SEAT BENCH
20170275000 · 2017-09-28 ·

A foldable seat bench comprises a seat, a seat area and a backrest, and a carrier arrangement comprising a carrier element carrying the seat and at least one leg. The backrest is movable between a deployed position extending at an angle of approximately 70° to 110° relative to the seat area and a stowed position extending at an angle of approximately 0° to 20° relative to the seat area. The leg is foldable relative to the carrier element between a unfolded position and a folded position. The foldable seat bench comprises a first locking mechanism which, in a locking state, is adapted to lock the backrest of the seat in both its deployed position and its stowed position, and a second locking mechanism which, in a locking state, is adapted to lock the leg of the carrier arrangement in both its unfolded position and its folded position.
