A pickleball paddle with segmented cores, comprising a plate body and a grip body, the plate body has a core, a frame and two surface layers, the frame is disposed on a periphery of the core, the core defines at least two ball-striking response parts adjacent to each other, a segment gap is formed between any two of the ball-striking response parts, the two surface layers are spaced apart from each other and respectively assembled on the core and the frame, and the grip body is formed from a bottom side of the frame of the plate body. Thereby, the core of the plate body is capable of deforming easily through the segment gaps between the ball-striking response parts, which is conducive to controlling a duration that a pickleball stays on the plate body, and also conducive to controlling a rotational force of the plate body on the pickleball.

A paddleball training apparatus and methods are provided for practicing paddle sports, such as pickleball, in absence of a court. The paddleball training apparatus comprises a rectangular box having a front end and a rear end. A top playing surface includes holes for receiving balls hit by players while an undersurface allows the balls to roll inside the box toward a ball trough adjacent to the rear end. A net indicator on the top playing surface between a first hole and a second hole represents a net over which players must hit balls to score game points. The first hole adjacent to the front end represents a ball that falls short of passing over the net. The second hole is just beyond the net indicator and represents an ideal shot just over the net. Third and fourth holes are farther from the net indicator and represent diminishing scores.

A mechanical pickleball scorekeeper for enabling a user to track a score for each team in a pickleball match, and for tracking a server number during the match, has a housing sized and shaped to be hand-held by the user. Three dials are operably mounted on the housing. One of the three dials is a first team score dial that includes numbers circumferentially spaced around the top surface. A second dial is a second team score dial that includes numbers circumferentially spaced around the top surface. A third dial is a server number dial.

A pickleball apparatus is disclosed, wherein the pickleball apparatus comprises a spherical body and a plurality of holes defined therethrough. The plurality of holes may be defined through the spherical body from an exterior surface of the spherical body to an interior surface of the spherical body. Each of the plurality of holes may be countersunk to the exterior surface to form an outer ring and an inner ring. Each of the plurality of holes may taper from the outer ring to the inner ring such that the inner ring has a diameter that is less than a diameter of the outer ring, the outer ring is coterminous with the exterior surface of the spherical body, and the inner ring has an inset depth relative to the exterior surface of the spherical body.

A pickleball apparatus is disclosed, wherein the pickleball apparatus comprises a spherical body and a plurality of holes defined therethrough. A rigid frame comprises two opposing vertical members with a bottom end attached to a portable base and a top end, the rigid frame further comprising a bottom horizontal member spanning between the bottom ends of the two opposing vertical members. The bottom horizontal member provides crossbar support by tying together forces of the two opposing vertical members. Two rigid posts include a first rigid post detachably affixed to a first vertical member and a second rigid post affixed to a second vertical member. Each of the two rigid posts are taller than the vertical members and support a top mounted light directed towards a game court for pickleball. The vertical members support a pickleball net.

A pickleball paddle having a perimeter weighting system to improve performance characteristics and/or to provide swing weighting. The weighting system may include flexible weight strips disposed in recesses formed about a perimeter of the paddle. Alternatively, the weighting system may include slidable weights disposed in one or more channels. The weighting system may further include handle weighting to provide swing weighting. The at least one weight can have a relatively high mass, sufficient to noticeably alter CG of the paddle.

The strip can include a first layer having a first end and a second end, a second layer having a first end and a second end. The second layer can be configured to contact a sport equipment in use. The swinging assist device may include a fastening system including a first fastening feature and a second fastening feature. The hand securement can be configured to receive the first hand of a user and the elongate grip portion can be configured to receive the second hand of the user. The swinging assist device can be configured to enable the user to freely release the second hand from the grip portion.
