SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATHLETE PHYSIOLOGY MONITORING
20220225935 · 2022-07-21 ·

Disclosed is a smart, physiology monitoring mouthguard (SPMM) system and method for capturing various physiological data of athletes in real-time for health monitoring. The system is configured to provide real-time and/or recorded physiological data of an athlete to a user, and may be configured to record physiological data of the athlete for later retrieval using sensors and communication systems. Sensors may be chosen based on the anticipated activity or sport, the health and age of the athlete, and size and power requirements of the device. Sensors may include accelerometers, gyroscopes, thermometers, hydrometers, pH, electrolyte (e.g., potassium, sodium, etc.) sensors, and the like. These and other sensors may be configured to measure different physiological data of the athlete, including impact, body temperature, hydration, illness, heart rate, and the like. In some embodiments, sensors on the mouthguard are integrated with external sensors (e.g., accelerometers on a helmet, chest-worn heart rate monitor) on the athlete to provide additional or more accurate physiological data.

Motion Analyzer for Sports Equipment
20210394032 · 2021-12-23 · ·

A motion analyzer for attachment to sports equipment. The motion analyzer may be constructed as one unitary piece and may include a base portion and an upper portion. The motion analyzer may collect and record motion data associated with movement of the sports equipment. The motion data may then be communicated to a mobile application which provides a user with a visual representation of the motion of the sports equipment. Further, a method of manufacturing a motion analyzer for attachment to sports equipment.

FACE-OFF TRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
20210387067 · 2021-12-16 ·

A device and methods for training a person for face-offs in athletic activities and games. The device includes a base connector, a main resilient member, and a stick wrap. The stick wrap is connected to the heel of the stick and to the main resilient member. The base connector is connected to the main resilient member and serves to connect the training device to a stationary structure. The main resilient member is configured to provide a desired level of resistance to a face-off motion of the stick by the user. An auxiliary resilient member is provided for connection in parallel to the main resilient member to enable the device to provide increased resistance to the face-off motion of the stick by the user.

Weighted Training Equipment
20210379439 · 2021-12-09 ·

Training equipment includes a hollow shaft having a sidewall defining an internal cavity and at least one polymer material filling at least a portion of the internal cavity. The polymer material may fill the entire internal cavity of the hollow shaft. The polymer material may be a visco-elastic polymer material or polyurethane. A spacer or a filler may fill at least a portion of the internal cavity. A method of making weighted training equipment with a hollow shaft having a sidewall defining an internal cavity may include injecting a curable composition into at least a portion of the internal cavity. The method may further include curing the curable composition into a polymer material.

Collapsible Portable Sport Goal
20210379455 · 2021-12-09 ·

This disclosure primarily concerns sports goals. In an aspect, some of these sports goals are collapsible and/or portable. In some novel configurations, a sports goal might be collapsible into an easily carried configuration without any need to disassemble its frame. In another configuration, a sports goal might have frame members that fold using a novel hinge mechanism that enables the plurality of frame members to collapse compactly. In another configuration, a sports goal might have a novel hinging extension mechanism to allow for larger goals to be more compactly collapsed for easier transport and storage or for alternate goal configurations to collapse down more compactly. In yet another configuration, a sports goal might have frame members that fold using a novel hinge mechanism that holds in its current configuration—open or collapsed—resulting in higher stability for both more rigorous play and easier transport and storage.

Hand covering having a retainer element

Embodiments provide a hand covering, such as a glove or mitten, with a retainer for holding the hand covering in a retaining configuration when not being worn covering the hand of a user. The hand covering may include a central hand portion, a finger receiving portion extending from the central hand portion, and a strap. The hand covering may extend generally in a longitudinal direction from a proximal side at the central hand portion to a distal side at the finger receiving portion. The central hand portion may define at the proximal side a cavity configured to receive a hand. The strap may be attached to an inside face of the central hand portion and extend generally lateral to the longitudinal direction. The strap may be separable from the inside face in between a first attached end and a second attached end to define a passageway configured to receive a hand.

CLEAR LACROSSE HEAD

The invention relates in general to lacrosse heads, and more particularly to preparation of a lacrosse head that is optically clear, but still maintains the desired stiffness and durability characteristics for optimal play.

SPORTS TARGET DEVICE FEATURING ELASTIC RETURN MECHANISM
20220193513 · 2022-06-23 ·

A target assembly that is configured to withstand high-velocity impact from a projectile. These configurations may comprise elastic members, or “bungee” cords, that generate elastic forces to return the target assembly to its orientation prior to impact. The bungee cords are less likely to undergo inelastic deformation; so these components afford the target assembly with longer life or longevity under heavy duty cycles.

CONNECTED HOCKEY TRAINING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20220193515 · 2022-06-23 · ·

A connected hockey training system that records and generates digital displays of the position and parameters of a smart hockey puck. The system is also configured to providing training programs about which the smart hockey puck is used to track progress of those training tasks and generate a score or other statistical parameters related thereto, such as feedback on stickhandling and shooting performance.
