HAND CONTROL DEVICE FOR SWIMMERS
A hand control device for swimmers is presented. The device has a main body with two holes in a side-by-side configuration. The first one of the two holes is configured for a third digit of a person's hand while the second one of the two holes is configured for a fourth digit of the person's hand. The inside surface of each hole comprises a plurality of grooves that run depthwise thereby providing wet traction while impacting minimum direct pressure on the nerves, vessels and tendons. The outside surface of the device may also include ridges to provide pass through for water.
HEADS UP DISPLAY SYSTEMS FOR SWIMMING GOGGLES
The present disclosure provides a heads up display (HUD) system configured for use with a pair of swimming goggles comprising first and second eye cups, a nose bridge connected to inner sides of the eye cups, and strap mounting portions on outer sides of the eye cups. The HUD system comprises an electronics and optics modules. The electronics module comprises a water tight housing and a processor, memory, power supply, sensors and a display within the water tight housing. The processor processes signals from the sensors to determine swimming performance data and controls the display to generate an image containing the swimming performance data. The optics module is mounted on one of the eye cups and is coupled to the electronics module for receiving the image from the display. The optics module extends from the electronics module and has one or more light directing features for redirecting the image toward an eye of a user to generate a redirected image.
Swim Shoe
A swimming shoe for learning and/or for supporting of the leg kick in breaststroke swimming is described. The swimming shoe has a shoe body and a sole flap connected thereto via a hinge coupling. The invention is characterized by the fact that the hinge coupling has a flexible strap through which the sole flap is connected with the shoe body, with the strap flexibly pressing the sole flap with pre-tensioning against a floor space of the shoe body.
ERGONOMIC TRAINING PADDLE WITH REDUCED FINGER SLIPPAGE
A swim training apparatus for use on a hand of a swimmer in water during a swimming motion, said training aid apparatus comprising: a plate member having a first surface and an opposed second surface and a leading edge and a trailing edge. The first surface has four straight grooves having a bottom and elevated sides along passing from a base of the first surface adjacent the wrist towards a top of the first surface where fingertips extend, wherein height of the elevated sides is at least 1 mm higher than a lowest point of the bottom of the groove.
Swimmer pacing apparatus
The apparatus includes a light emitting pace rope positioned under water that shows where the swimmer should be to move at a selected pace. The LED rope includes a ribbon cable with ground, power and control wires. Equally space LEDs are attached to the ground and power wires along the cable. The cable and LEDs are received in a transparent plastic tube couplers are attached to the cable ends. The plastic tube is encased in transparent silicone. Ends of the LED rope are attached opposite pool end walls. A power supply is connected to a coupler. A micro-controller provided signals to the control wire which provides additional power to illuminate the LEDs one at a time at the selected pace. Additional LEDs are provided to continue the pace in the opposite direction.

Method Of Training The Leaf-Floating
Present invention provides a Leaf-floating training method comprising following steps: Step 1: preparatory exercise (relaxing muscles); Step 2: dry-land rehearsals (learning the Leaf-floating posture); Step 3: getting familiar with water; Step 4: breathing at the swimming pool edge; Step 5: off-the-edge training; Step 6: finding balance between the upper and lower bodies with application of the Archimedes' Law of the Lever; Step 7: straightening knees and whole body; and Step 8: improving the Leaf-floating posture. A trainee should repeat the Steps 4 to 8 until they can stay afloat for more than 1 hour.
Hang time measurements using wearable electronic devices
Wearable electronic devices that are designed to be worn on the head of a user while the user is swimming can determine swimming strokes and swimming performances of the user using motion sensors. Using a sound speaker, the wearable electronic device can play music and provide audio feedback to the swimmer. By comparing the swimming performance of the swimmer wearing the device with previously recorded swimming data, the wearable electronic device can provide audio comparison results to the swimmer while the swimmer is swimming in water. The wearable electronic device can also support similar functions for jumping actions.
WAVE POOL AND WAVE GENERATOR FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL AND DYNAMICALLY-SHAPED SURFING WAVES
A wave pool and wave generating mechanism are disclosed. The wave pool includes a bathymetry that includes a dynamically shapeable reef along a length or circumference of a channel that defines the wave pool. The wave generating mechanism includes a foil that has a shape for bi-directionality based on an adjustment of a yaw angle of the foil. The foil can be further controlled to increase or decrease certain surface areas or other angles of interacting with water in the wave pool.
FLOATATION DEVICE
A floatation device is provided. In some embodiments, a floatation device is provided, comprising an inflatable ring composed of a transparent material, wherein the inflatable ring includes: an outer air chamber having a first valve for inflating the outer air chamber; an inner air chamber having a second valve for inflating the inner air chamber, wherein the outer air chamber and the inner air chamber are not in communication; a cut through the outer air chamber and the inner air chamber of the inflatable ring that forms opposing ends of the inflatable ring; and a plurality of fasteners placed on a top surface and a bottom surface of the outer or inner air chamber for detachably connecting the opposing ends of the inflatable ring.
