AQUATIC EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
An aquatic exercise system includes a pool and an aquatic exercise apparatus positioned in the pool. The aquatic exercise apparatus includes a base and an aquatic exercise pole having a first substantially straight section, a second substantially straight section, and a curved transition section between the first substantially straight section and the second substantially straight section. The curved transition section includes a bend, and the aquatic exercise apparatus is positioned in the pool such that bend is above a surface of water in the pool.
Floatation device
A floatation device is provided. In some embodiments, a floatation device is provided, comprising an inflatable ring composed of a transparent material, wherein the inflatable ring includes: an outer air chamber having a first valve for inflating the outer air chamber; an inner air chamber having a second valve for inflating the inner air chamber, wherein the outer air chamber and the inner air chamber are not in communication; a cut through the outer air chamber and the inner air chamber of the inflatable ring that forms opposing ends of the inflatable ring; and a plurality of fasteners placed on a top surface and a bottom surface of the outer or inner air chamber for detachably connecting the opposing ends of the inflatable ring.
WAIST TETHERED BUOY ASSEMBLY
A waist tethered buoy assembly tethers to a waist belt worn during water activities. The assembly includes a shell defining an interior space wherein the shell is buoyant. A net is positioned around the shell. A cord is coupled to the net securing the net around the shell. A tether has a net end net end coupled to the cord wherein the tether is coupled to the net. A belt is configured for securing around a waist of a user. A belt end of the tether is coupled to the belt such that the shell is configured to be attached to the user.
WIRELESS METRIC CALCULATING AND FEEDBACK APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A wearable computing device that is secured or attached to a resilient strap, the resilient strap sized to fit around at least a part of a circumference of a human head. The device has a waterproof storage volume housing a plurality of sensors. The wearable computing device may calculate a plurality of swimming metrics based at least partly on data received from the at least one sensor. The wearable computing device may include a wireless communication subsystem secured to the resilient strap within the waterproof storage volume and may transmit at least one of the calculated plurality of swimming metrics to at least one computing device via the wireless communication subsystem. The wearable computing device may include at least one user output component and may present an indication of at least one of the calculated plurality of swimming metrics at the at least one user output component for communication to the user. The indication may be audio played in an ear piece connected to the strap, or may be visually displayed on a display in an eye goggle portion of the strap.
Floatable Breathing Device
The present invention relates to a floatable breathing device. The floatable breathing device a head unit, a mask and a snorkel. The head unit general includes an ornamental shaped outer housing, an insulated housing positioned within the outer housing and having an ornamental shape and buoyant properties, and a head receiving section provided between the outer housing and the insulated housing and contoured to a human head. The mask extends from the outer housing, while the snorkel extends through and exits a portion of the head unit above a predetermined waterline.
Systems and methods of swimming calorimetry
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods of estimating energy expenditure of a user while swimming. A processor circuit of a user device can estimate a speed of the user based on a stroke rate and a stroke length. The processor circuit can estimate an efficiency of the user. The processor circuit can classify a swimming style of the user. The processor circuit can determine energy expenditure of the user based on the speed, the efficiency, and the style. The processor circuit can also detect glides of the user and adjust the energy expenditure.
Breathable and waterproof swimming cap SMP wig
The present invention is an apparatus for head wear comprising a swimming cap portion that is breathable, and protects the hair and scalp of the user from water and other watery substance(s); and a wig portion that has the versatility/appearance of natural hair, and retains a desired style even after multiple use.
Aquatic game apparatus and method of playing aquatic game
An apparatus for shape and color matching retrieval games to be played in a body of water, such as a swimming pool, includes base stations, cover panels, and retrieval objects that players retrieve from the body of water during play of the game. The base provides a support to which cover panels can be removably affixed. The base and the cover panels each have on their top surfaces a series of position markers in the nature of slots formed in various geometric shapes. Each base and cover panel has a subset of retrieval objects matched in shape and/or color to its respective position markers. A method is provided for playing different versions of retrieval games using the base and the cover panels.
Flotation device
A flotation device, particularly suitable for use as a pull buoy or a kickboard is described. The flotation device can include a flotation element and a stem element, which extends from an inner surface of the flotation element. A holding mechanism can be located adjacent to the second end of the stem element. The stem element and holding mechanism can be configured to enable a user to hold onto the flotation device at a point below the surface of the water for use as a kickboard or enable a user to secure the stem element of the flotation device between his/her legs for use as a pull buoy. An embodiment of the stem element can be tapered, which can create forces that assist the user in using the flotation device as either a pull buoy or a kickboard.
Handheld propulsion unit for use by a user in and under water
A handheld propulsion unit for use by a user in and under water is disclosed. The handheld propulsion unit includes a tubular shaped housing assembly having a forward and rearward end. A channel defined by the tubular shaped housing assembly allows a flow of water to move through the tubular shaped housing assembly. At least one frame member connected to the tubular shaped housing attaches an electric motor within the channel such that the electric motor is coaxially aligned with the channel. A propeller coaxially coupled directly to a rotating part of the electric motor eliminates a drive transfer assembly or a drive transfer housing from spanning the channel. Hand grips on the tubular shaped housing assembly are configured for being held by the user and allowing the user to maneuver a thrust provided by the flow of water through the channel when the propeller is operating.
