MULTI-COMPARTMENT BEVERAGE BOTTLE SYSTEM AND METHOD

Embodiments of a multi-compartment beverage bottle system and methods of manufacturing the system are disclosed. First and second housing elements are in mutual engagement with one another to at least partially define a fluid vessel with a fluid cavity therein. The fluid cavity includes a first fluid compartment and a second fluid compartment. The first housing element is rotatable between a storage position and a mix position with respect to the second housing element. A shuttle element is disposed within the fluid cavity and axially actuatable along the main axis into and out of a seal position. Rotation of the first housing element toward the storage position actuates the shuttle element toward the seal position. Rotation of the first housing element toward the mix position actuates the shuttle element away from the seal position, thereby placing the first and second fluid compartments into fluid communication with one another for mixing.

Spouted pouch adapted to be filled with a flowable product and method of production thereof

In combination a spouted pouch (1) to be filled with a flowable product by a filling machine, a plug (50), and a cap (70). The interference fit plug is releasably mounted over the top end of the neck of the spout body and hermetically seals the product passage of the spout body. The plug is adapted to be removed by the filling machine and to be replaced by pressing the plug onto the neck after filling of the pouch. The plug removal, filling, and replacing of the plug are preferably performed in an aseptic environment. The cap is after the filling of the pouch and the replacing of the plug onto the neck. The capping is preferably performed by a capping machine in a non-aseptic environment.

Method and machine for filling and sealing bottles, cartridges, syringes and the like

A method for filling and sealing containers such as bottles, cartridges, syringes and the like, wherein the containers are accommodated individually within respective seats of a first nest which in turn is contained in a first transport tub. The method includes the step of supplying the containers; extracting at least one individual container at a time from the first nest and transferring it to a filling station in order to fill the at least one container with a substance; transferring the at least one filled container to a crimp capping station, passing through a separating partition; crimp capping the at least one container at the crimp capping station; and inserting the at least one crimp capped-container in a respective seat of a second nest.

Method of producing and filling a packaging container

A method of producing and filling a paperboard packaging container with pulverulent bulk solids includes forming a tubular container body from a paperboard sheet, the body having upper and lower body openings and a container wall extending between the upper and lower body openings and having inner and outer surfaces; closing the upper body opening with a sealing membrane attached to the inner surface; providing an upper reinforcing rim; inserting at least a lower part of the upper reinforcing rim into the tubular container body at the upper body opening; forming a weld seal between the inner surface and the inserted part of the upper reinforcing rim; presenting the body to a filling station with the bottom body opening of the container body directed upward in a vertical direction; filling pulverulent material into the body through the upwardly directed bottom body opening; and closing the bottom body opening.

Cassette for use in a filling and/or sealing machine

The present invention relates to a device comprising a cassette (1) having an opening (2) in an axial direction of the cassette (1) and a support surface (3) transverse to the axial direction and extending around the opening (2) of the cassette (1), the cassette (1) being capable of receiving a cup in the opening with a outwardly extending flange of the cup supported by the support surface (3), and a supporting plate (4) having an opening in a normal direction of the supporting plate (4), wherein the cassette (1) comprises a resilient or flexible material, and a slot in which a part of the supporting plate (4) is received in close contact without cavities.

The invention relates to a container (100) having an aperture (140) and a seal assembly (200), comprising a support member or disc (210) and a seal such as an induction seal (240). The support disc (210) has projections or cam surfaces (230) which engage with projections or cams (160) provided on the internal surface of the neck (120). The container is configured to have an intermediate configuration prior to containing a product, in which the container aperture is temporarily closed by the seal assembly (200). In this configuration, the internal cleanliness of the container is preserved. The seal assembly can be removed to add the product, and afterwards, the seal is made more permanent by applying induction energy to the seal and the container adopts a filled configuration containing the product in which the container aperture is sealed. In this configuration, the container may be sealed by the seal assembly (200) (i.e. the support member (210) and the seal (240) or by the seal (240) alone, the support member having been removed during the sealing process.
