BINDING MACHINE

A binding machine includes: a wire feeding unit configured to feed a wire; a curl forming unit configured to form a path along which the wire fed by the wire feeding unit is to be wound around a to-be-bound object; a butting part against which the to-be-bound object is to be butted; a cutting unit configured to cut the wire wound on the to-be-bound object; a binding unit configured to twist the wire wound on the to-be-bound object and cut by the cutting unit; and a tension applying part configured to apply tension to the wire to be cut at the cutting unit with a force higher than a force applied in a loosening direction of the wire wound on the to-be-bound object.

BINDING MACHINE

A binding machine includes: a wire feeding unit; a curl forming unit; a butting part; a cutting unit; and a binding unit. The binding unit includes: a rotary shaft; a wire engaging body configured to move in an axis direction of the rotary shaft and to engage the wire in a first operation area in the axis direction, and to move in the axis direction and to twist the wire in a second operation area in the axis direction; a rotation regulation part; and a tension applying part configured to perform, in the second operation area, an operation of applying tension on the wire engaged by the wire engaging body in the first operation area. The tension applied to the wire is equal to or larger than 10% and equal to or smaller than 50% with respect to a maximum tensile load of the wire.

Apparatus for tensioning a cable lacing tape device

An apparatus for tensioning a cable tape comprises a housing, a drive assembly, a capstan, and an optional cutting device. The drive assembly includes a driving member and a driven member slidably coupled to the driving member. A biasing element is coupled between the driving and the driven member and in a first operating mode, the driving member causes movement of the driven member little or no relative movement between two members. The capstan is rotatably coupled to the housing, and includes a gripping device to grip a cable tape and wrap the cable tape around an outer surface of the capstan as the capstan rotates. In a second operating mode, a tension force applied on the capstan by the cable tape that is greater than the biasing force allows relative movement between the driving member and the driven member.

A cable tie cut off tool including two elements. A first element has a through hole and internal and external threads, the internal threads being configured in a direction opposite the external threads. A second element includes a through hole with a blade at one end of the through hole and the through hole being threaded with internal threads which mate the external threads of the first element. A keyway is in the internal threads of the first element. The internal threads of the first element are designed to cut into but not all the way through a cable tie end to allow the first element to tension the cable tie and then the first and second elements to be rotated together to engage the blade and cut off the tail of the cable tie.
