In a method of producing wrappings for smoking articles, the wrappings advance intermittently along a forming path with several stations, including a sealing station sealing the wrapping. Each wrapping continuously alternates a period of stop in a station with a period of movement between stations. A first predetermined stop time is associated with a first station, and a second predetermined stop time, greater than the first stop time, is associated with a second station, which is a sealing station. The second station has multiple positions for operating simultaneously on wrappings lots. Between stops in the first station, wrappings advance with a single step, with displacement that brings a wrapping to replace the immediately preceding wrapping. Between stops in the second station, wrappings advance with a multiple step, with a displacement that brings a wrappings lot to replace the immediately preceding lot in the positions of the second station.

A pack having a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a laminate to form a bundle is disclosed. The pack has a base containing the bundle, and a lid mounted to the base for rotation between open and closed positions. The laminate has an outer layer having a first cut that defines an outer layer region bounded by said first cut and, an inner layer having a second cut that defines an inner layer region bounded by said second cut. The inner layer region lies within the outer layer region. A part of the outer layer region is attached to an inside surface of the lid such that, as the lid is rotated into its open position, the inner and outer layer regions are lifted causing the inner and outer layers to delaminate in a peripheral region between the first and second cuts and an opening to be created in the laminate.

A part of the outer layer region is attached to an inside surface of the lid such that, as the lid is rotated into its open position, the inner and outer layer regions are lifted causing the inner and outer layers to delaminate in a peripheral region between the first and second cuts and an opening to be created in the laminate.

A container (10) for consumer goods, the container comprising: an outer housing comprising a box portion (12), a lid portion (14) moveable between a closed position and an open position, and a hinged connector (16) connecting the box portion (12) and the lid portion (14); a plurality of consumer goods (20) received within the box portion (12); and an inner frame (18) slidably received within the outer housing and positioned between the plurality of consumer goods (20) and the box portion (12). The inner frame (18) is slidable between a lowered position and a raised position and comprises an inner frame front wall (36), an inner frame back wall (38), opposed inner frame side walls and a lifting element (48), depending from the bottom edge of a wall of the inner frame (18) and extending into the opening at the bottom end of the inner frame. At least part of the lifting element (18) is positioned between a box portion bottom wall and the consumer goods. The lid portion (14) depends along a first hinge line (30) from the hinged connector and along a second hinge line (44) from the inner frame (18) so that the inner frame (18) slides between the lowered position and the raised position as the lid portion (14) moves between the closed position and the open position.

The inner frame (18) is slidable between a lowered position and a raised position and comprises an inner frame front wall (36), an inner frame back wall (38), opposed inner frame side walls and a lifting element (48), depending from the bottom edge of a wall of the inner frame (18) and extending into the opening at the bottom end of the inner frame. At least part of the lifting element (18) is positioned between a box portion bottom wall and the consumer goods. The lid portion (14) depends along a first hinge line (30) from the hinged connector and along a second hinge line (44) from the inner frame (18) so that the inner frame (18) slides between the lowered position and the raised position as the lid portion (14) moves between the closed position and the open position.

A method for producing packs for cigarettes, in which at least one group of cigarettes is wrapped in an inner wrapper and is introduced into a pocket of a folding turret and therein is packed in a blank for the pack, and a corresponding apparatus and to a pack for cigarettes. At least one dimension of the at least one cigarette group does not correspond to the respective dimension of the interior space of the pack, the at least one deviating dimension is equalized by at least one filler piece, and the at least one filler piece is wrapped in the inner wrapper conjointly with at least one cigarette group.
