Said driving member comprises a plurality of drive pins (212) particularly suited to drive a capsule transport support (100) containing said one or more capsules (12).
PORTION CAPSULE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BEVERAGE BY MEANS OF A PORTION CAPSULE
A portion capsule for producing a beverage. The portion capsule includes a capsule body that has a collar edge and a capsule bottom; a filter element located inside of the capsule body, the filter element is elastic, the filter element has a flange that is attached to the collar edge of the capsule body, the filter element has a bottom; and a cover attached to the capsule body. The bottom of the filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom such that a free space remains between the filter element and the capsule bottom. The filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom in such a manner that only before a liquid is applied to a beverage substrate, does the filter element not touch the capsule bottom.
Scoop with Level
A scoop and level for scooping a portion of granulated material and leveling the contents of the scoop. The scoop may have a volume suitable for brewing a single serving of brewed beverage, and in particular, for brewing a single serving of espresso. The lever is attached to the scoop and slides over the scoop to displace excess material, thus providing a desired amount material for processing, for example, for preparing a beverage. A scoop handle may further include a tamper opposite to the scoop. The tamper may be used to tamp brewing material after scooping, leveling, and pouring the brewing material into a holder.
PRODUCTION DEVICE AND PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR INFUSION TYPE CAPSULES
A device and a production process for capsules, in particular infusion type products, to continuously deliver filters into the capsules, independently of the flow feed rate of the filters and of the cup-shaped containers of the capsules. The device includes: filter delivery devices; a first transport system the delivery devices, continuously moving them along a first closed path; a second transport system of support devices continuously moveable along a second closed path, each support device configured to receive a respective cup-shaped container. The first closed path includes a filter inserting segment superimposed to the second closed path, so that the delivery devices and respective support devices are synchronized with each other, to continuously transfer a filter to a target cup-shaped container.
CONTROL METHOD IN A PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR ARTICLES AND A PRODUCTION APPARATUS FOR ARTICLES OPERATING ACCORDING TO THIS METHOD
A method for controlling a production process for articles includes: feeding a plurality of articles to a first operating unit where the articles are subjected to a first processing operation; controlling at least one characteristic of the articles outgoing from the first operating unit; identifying among the outgoing articles a first group and a second group of articles, in which the at least one characteristic is respectively in accordance or not with predetermined quality parameters; transferring the articles outgoing from the first operating unit to at least one second operating unit, where the articles are subjected to at least one second processing operation; allowing the at least one second operating unit to perform the at least one second processing operation on the first group of articles; receiving the articles outgoing from the at least one second operating unit, and then discarding the second group of articles.
TRANSFER DEVICE AND PROCESS
In a device and in a process for transferring discrete elements, fed in a row with a predetermined spacing, a correspondence is ensured between a linear release segment, and a not entirely linear portion of transport path. A carousel-like transport device is provided, where receiving members move along the transport path. A receiving segment is defined, where each receiving member receives a respective discrete element. A release device is further provided, on which the discrete elements are transported along a linearly developing release path having a release segment and intersecting the transport path at the receiving segment. A timing equipment acting on the receiving members by moving them with respect to the transport device is also provided.
Plant for packaging capsules
A plant for packaging capsules comprising a main frame (20) on which is positioned a system for moving capsules (30) to make one or more capsules (12) advance along a first predetermined axial direction (A-A) from an inlet (22) to an outlet (24). The plant comprises a plurality of operating stations (200, 201, 203) for packaging a substance into a plurality of capsules (12), wherein the system for moving capsules (30) comprises a movement device that comprises a pair of sliding profiles (36) that extend along said first predetermined axial direction (A-A) and are connected to the main frame (20), a first movable frame (87, 88, 89) movable in transverse direction with respect to the first predetermined axial direction (A-A), a driving member mounted slidable on an upper movable beam (88) of the first movable frame (87, 88, 89) along said predetermined axial direction (A-A) and positioned between the pair of sliding profiles (36). Said driving member comprises a plurality of drive pins (212) particularly suited to drive a capsule transport support (100) containing said one or more capsules (12).
Method for manufacturing a beverage capsule with sealing ring
A method for manufacturing a beverage capsule with an outer sealing ring comprised of elastic material involves the following steps: (a) providing a capsule body with a peripheral, flange-like edge for attaching a sealing film; (b) providing a sealing ring comprised of elastic material and adjusted to the flange-like edge; (c) placing the sealing ring and the capsule body in a capsule mount of a sealing device for sealing the capsule body with the sealing film, with the sealing ring arranged between the capsule mount and the flange-like edge of the capsule body; (d) filling the capsule body with a beverage substrate; and sealing the capsule body with the sealing film and simultaneously fastening the sealing ring to the flange-like edge using the sealing device.
System, apparatus, and method for preparing a beverage cartridge
A system for beverage cartridge preparation allows users to self-select, self-fill, and self-seal single use beverage cartridges for convenience. A frame assembly supports a cartridge handling system and a cartridge filling system. The cartridge filling system includes a fillable container and a portion dispensing system. The cartridge handling system includes a movement guide system moving the beverage cartridges, a sealing system for sealing the beverage cartridges after filling, and a motion system for actuating the cartridge handling system, the portion dispensing system, and the sealing system. DISPENSING CAPSULE AND METHOD AND APPARATUS OF FORMING SAME
In one example, a process for manufacture of a pulp-based dispensing capsule is disclosed. The process includes providing one or more mesh tool sets that are each contoured to one or more preform shapes of the dispensing capsule. Note that each preform shape is a partially shaped version of a final form shape of the pulp-based dispensing capsule. The process also includes providing a holding tank containing a suspension that includes water and pulp fibres; and arranging the mesh tool sets to allow immersion into and withdrawal of the mesh tool sets from the suspension. The process also includes applying a vacuum to the mesh tool sets so as to draw pulp fibres from the suspension onto the mesh tool sets while immersed in the suspension to form a preform pulp fibre mat; and in a second toolset, deforming each preform shape in the preform pulp fibre mat towards the final form shape by the application of pressure.
