The present invention relates to a device for manufacturing a pouch containing a brewable material accommodated in a wrapping, comprising a pouch manufacturing device adapted to manufacture a water-permeable pouch containing brewable material, and comprising a sealing station with two sealing jaws movable relative to one another for sealing the pouch in the wrapping placed in a U-shape around the pouch, wherein the sealing jaws are configured to form longitudinal seals (L) lying opposite one another and a transverse seal (Q) extending transversely thereto on the wrapping, wherein at least one sealing jaw comprises first and second sealing jaw elements each configured to form one of the longitudinal seals (L) and a segment of the transverse seal (Q).

The present invention relates to a device for the production of bags (8) filled with infusible material having a base plate (50) which separates a drive side (54) from an operating side (52), where a bag-production device is provided on the operating side (52) in which a batch of the infusible material is placed onto the bag material (25) which is shaped into a tube and the tube sections are processed to form closed bags (8), where the bag production device is provided in a work space (68) between the base plate (50) and at least one protective door (56). A packaging machine for making filter bags with infusion products includes a plurality of processing stations defining a processing path for making filter bags with infusion products and an extraction station situated immediately downstream of the processing path. The extraction station comprises a stacking unit having a guide channel to allow the ordered and continuous feeding of the filter bags and a transfer device for transferring the filter bags coming from the processing path to the stacking unit. The stacking unit includes a connecting element positioned downstream of the processing stations and upstream of the guide channel for receiving as input from the transfer device the filter bags coming from the processing path. The connecting element is connected at the outlet with the guide channel and includes a chute surface having a curved stretch shaped to allow feeding of the filter bags along a feed direction.

A method of manufacturing an aerosol generating pod includes providing aerosol generating material; positioning sheet material over opposite sides of the aerosol generating material; and punching the aerosol generating material and the sheet material from one of the opposite sides to form an aerosol generating pod including aerosol generating material covered by the sheet material. A first aspect of the invention provides an infusion product for making a beverage by soaking the infusion product in a liquid, the infusion product comprising: a pouch formed from one or more permeable sheets of a first plant material, at least two portions of the pouch being joined together at a seam portion by an adhesive; a second plant material within the pouch, the second plant material being configured such that an extract from the second plant material infuses into the first liquid when the infusion product is soaked in the liquid to make the beverage; wherein the adhesive comprises corn zein.

A machine for making filter bags of different shapes for infusion products includes: a wheel defining a work surface and rotating about a relative axis; feed stations for placing tags on the work surface, a continuous thread, along a weave path, and a strip of filter material superposing the weave of thread and the tag. A sealing device is located downstream of the feed stations for sealing between the thread, tag and strip of filter material. A feed device moving the strip along a feed line is positioned downstream of the wheel. A station introduces a dose of infusion product in bag and closes the bag. The present invention relates to a simplified device and a process-technically simplified and also more rapidly applicable method for transporting readily cut and filled hose pieces within a machine for producing pouches filled with brewable material. The device according to the invention has a transport wheel which has several supports distributed over its circumference, each holding a pouch which are pivotally mounted on the transport wheel. In the method according to the invention, a hose piece for forming a pouch with at least one chamber between a head and a bottom is inserted in the radial direction into a support of the transport wheel. In a removal station the pouch is removed radially from the transport wheel with the bottom leading.
