PIPE COMPRESSION EQUIPMENT
A system for compressing and packing pipe insulation includes a compression member that is movable along a first axis to compress pieces of pipe insulation. A stacking bay includes opposing walls that are spaced apart from one another. At least one of the two opposing walls is movable relative to the other of the two opposing walls along a second axis to adjust a lateral distance between the opposing walls to accommodate an increasing size of the pieces of pipe insulation along the second axis. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. A packing member that applies a force along a third axis to the pieces of pipe insulation after being compressed. The third axis is generally orthogonal to the first and second axes. The first axis is generally orthogonal to the second axis. The compression member is aligned with a space formed between the opposing walls.
Article transfer device
An article transfer device is configured to transfer a plurality of articles from a placement component to a container. The placement component includes a placement surface on which the plural articles are placed. The article transfer device includes a placement component drive unit that relatively moves the container and the placement component and a control unit that controls the operation of the placement component drive unit. The control unit controls the operation of the placement component drive unit so that, when the articles on the placement component are above the container, the placement component is pulled out from between the container and the articles.
Carton Maintaining Tools
A packaging machine includes a main conveyor configured to convey cartons and containers in a conveyance direction from a first end of the main conveyor where partially erected cartons and containers enter the conveyor to a second end where containers inside the cartons exit the conveyor. A plunger is operatively connected to the main conveyor to follow the main conveyor in the conveyance direction and to plunge in a plunge direction lateral to the conveyance direction to position a group of containers within a carton. A carton maintaining tool is operatively connected to the main conveyor to follow the main conveyor in the conveyance direction and to engage the carton to maintain position of the carton along the plunge direction in opposition to the plunger as the plunger positions the group of containers within the carton.
IMPROVED APPARATUS FOR DOSING AND PACKAGING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
The object of the invention is to realize an apparatus for automatically and precisely filling single containers in succession with a pre-defined amount of products; each container is filled with two distinct loads of products, wherein the first load is determined according to its weight roughly measured, and the second load is determined numerically based on the difference between said first load and a pre-defined conventional weight; the apparatus comprises a first conveyor, a second conveyor loaded automatically with the products transported by the first conveyor, a third conveyor which is loaded with the agricultural products transported by the second conveyor and that transfers the products poured and present onto it inside a succession of single containers, weighing means able of weighing the total weight of the products on the whole present on the second conveyor, wherein the third conveyor is able of transferring the products poured and present on it in a succession of single containers; there is arranged a fourth conveying means preferably “V”-shaped and able of pouring a numerically controlled quantity of similar products onto the third conveying means, which, in the end, pours it onto a container below with a motion of going on and partial rotation.
Bin packing system and method
A single robot of a two-lane bin packing system has an end of arm tool (EOAT) that interfaces with two infeed lines and two bins on an ongoing basis so that the robot can pick a group of bags from a first bag group staging area on the first infeed line while a group of bags is being formed in a second bag group staging area by the second infeed line. In addition, by interfacing with two separate bins, one bin can be filled while another, full bin is being replaced with an empty bin. The EOAT thus operates constantly. The bag groups can be formed in layers by discharging bags on a reciprocating shuttle of a pick table assembly.
Spacing support for packets for smoking articles, spacing kit, package containing said spacing kit and method to assemble a spacing kit
A spacing support (11) and a spacing kit (10) for packets (100) of smoking articles configured to support in an orderly manner a plurality of packets arranged on two adjacent rows. The spacing support (11) comprises two containing drawers (12) arranged adjacent to each other and each defining a respective housing (13) for a corresponding row of packets, which extends in a longitudinal direction (X), and an access aperture (17) through which the packets (100) can be introduced and extracted from the housing (13). Each containing drawer (12) comprises a bottom wall (14) from which a pair of side walls (15) extends, each of these walls (14, 15) being configured to come into contact with a respective wall (101, 102) of the packet (100), wherein at least one of the side walls (15) comprises a plurality of positioning elements (18) projecting toward the inside of said housing (13), made as pre-cut fins (19) integrated into the side wall (15), and configured to delimit positioning compartments (26), in which each of said packets (100) is stably arranged and held in a static manner, in said longitudinal direction (X), with respect to said housing (13).

ARRANGEMENT OF CONTAINERS IN A CARTON
A package comprising a carton and an arrangement of containers. The carton can comprise a plurality of panels extending at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels can comprise at least a first panel and a second panel disposed opposite to one another. The arrangement can comprise a number of rows of containers disposed at least partially in the interior of the carton. The arrangement can include at least a first row and a second row extending along the respective first and second panels. A load width of the arrangement can be less than the number of rows multiplied by a first difference between the diameter of the containers approximately an eighth of an inch, and the load width can be greater than the number of rows multiplied by a second difference between the diameter and approximately a half of an inch.
