MOVING FILLING NOZZLES ON A ROTATABLE FORMING MACHINE
A rotatable thermoforming machine for producing soluble pockets made from a soluble web. The machine has a plurality of pocket forming cavities 38a, b, c in each of which a respective pocket is formed in the soluble web. The pockets travel in a machine direction defined as the X direction and filling means 44 is arranged to at least partially fill the or each pocket formed in the soluble web. The filling means 44 comprising one or more nozzles 44, each nozzle 44 being arranged to be moveable in at least the X-direction as the or each respective pocket is filled from the filling nozzle 44.
Needle with closure and method
A needle has a hollow shaft, a tip formed at one end of the shaft, one or more ports in fluid communication with the interior of the hollow shaft, and a closure. The closure and/or the shaft is movable between (i) a first position wherein the closure closes the port(s), and (ii) a second position opening the port(s).
Pouch filling station
A table top appliance rapidly fills a pouch through some mechanical actuation or automation by inserting the pouch into the appliance and the machine fills the pouch. One embodiment of the food pouch filling station may be a mechanical version that includes a method to pump or push the contents of the container into the pouch. A second embodiment of the food pouch filling station may be an electric pump version that fills pouches and may have the option of controlling the amount of food dispensed. The food pouch filling station may also include a valve that connects to the pouch to control the flow to the pouch.
Aseptic filler for flowable products
An aseptic filler apparatus (30) includes an actuatable fitment plug assembly (500) that may be placed against the bottom of a fitment collar, which is in communication with a flexible bag to be filled with flowable food products, thereby to prevent steam or other gasses or liquids from entering the fill bag when undesirable to do so. The plug assembly (500) includes a plug (502) mounted on a distal end portion of a pivot arm (504). The opposite end of the pivot arm is rotatably axled on a cross pin. A linear actuator (518) is connected to the distal end of a lug (512) projecting transversely from the pivot arm. The opposite end of the linear actuator (518) is pinned to a stationary location, enabling the actuator to pivot the plug (502) from an engaged position against the fitment collar and a retracted position away from the fitment collar.
Self closing and opening filling needle, needle holder, filler and method
An apparatus for filling a device having a penetrable septum and a sealed chamber. The apparatus includes a filling member engageable with the penetrable septum to penetrate the septum, port(s), and a closure. The closure and filling member are movable between (i) a first position wherein the closure closes the port(s), and (ii) a second position opening the port(s). The filling member and/or septum is movable relative to the other between (i) a first position wherein the filling member is spaced from the septum, and (ii) a second position wherein the filling member is penetrated through the septum and in communication with the sealed chamber. A locking device is movable between (i) a locked position locking the closure and/or filling member in the first position, and (ii) an unlocked position allowing movement of the closure and/or filling member relative to the other and into the second position.
Apparatus for injecting a dosed quantity of medicinal liquid internally of a bottle
An apparatus for injecting a dose of medication into a bottle includes a tank, an outlet or mouth, a doser, and a conduit connecting the tank, the outlet mouth and the doser to each other. The conduit includes a portion disposed between the doser and the outlet mouth. The apparatus additionally includes a valve and a cursor movable internally of the portion of the conduit between an occluding position and an enabling position. A first magnet is borne by the cursor, while a second magnet arranged externally of the conduit is movable beside the conduit and interacts magnetically with the first magnet so that the second magnet is able to draw the cursor between the occluding position and the enabling position.
DOSAGE-DISPENSING DEVICE FOR SUBSTANCES IN POWDER FORM
A device dispenses dosages of a substance in powder- or paste form contained in a supply container, when a head (1) of the device is connected to the supply container. The head has a housing with an outlet opening (107) of circular cross-section and a delivery- and closure element (100). The outlet opening and the delivery- and closure element are arranged on a central lengthwise axis (15) of the head. The delivery- and closure element rotates relative to the housing about this axis and is arranged for translatory displacement relative to the housing along the axis. The delivery- and closure element is cylindrical in its fundamental contour shape. A closure portion (101) thereof closes off the outlet opening. A delivery portion (102) is adjacent to the closure portion and delivers substance that is to be dispensed. A shaft portion is adjacent to the delivery portion. A conveyor body (103) on the delivery portion conveys substance to the outlet opening. In an operative state, the closure portion is arranged below the delivery portion, providing an end surface at a bottom end of the delivery- and closure element. A recess from the shell surface of the basically cylindrical contour shape of the delivery- and closure element extends over the delivery portion and the conveyor body, forming a smoothly shaped delivery surface (104).
Injection device for diesel exhaust fluid
An injection device for diesel exhaust fluid includes a cylinder, a stopper, and an air tube. The cylinder encloses a receiving space. The cylinder has an opening at the bottom end. The stopper is pipe-shaped and has a stopping portion and a top portion at two opposite ends thereof. The stopper is arranged in the receiving space and is movable along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder. the stopping portion selectively plugs the opening of the cylinder so that fluid in the receiving space is unable to flow out via the opening. The air tube is inserted through the stopper and the opening of the cylinder to communicate with exterior. The air tube is positioned to the cylinder near the opening so that the air tube may not move with the stopper.
One-way valve and apparatus and method of using the valve
A flexible pouch and valve assembly is provided for aseptically storing a substance, dispensing multiple portions of the stored substance therefrom, and maintaining substance remaining in the pouch in an aseptic condition sealed with respect to ambient atmosphere. The flexible pouch and valve assembly are receivable within a relatively rigid housing, and are adapted to cooperate with a pump for pumping discrete portions of substance from the pouch and through the one-way valve to dispense the substance therefrom. The assembly comprises a flexible pouch defining therein a variable-volume storage chamber sealed with respect to the ambient atmosphere for aseptically storing therein multiple portions of the substance. A one-way valve of the assembly includes a valve body defining an axially-extending valve seat and at least one flow aperture extending through the valve body and/or the valve seat.
