An apparatus for sealing a bag opening includes a retaining member and a slide member adapted to slide into said retaining member. The retaining member includes an elongated opening that extends through at least one open end of the retaining member. A bottom stop is provided at an end of the retaining member that is opposite to the open end of the retaining member. Alternatively, the retaining member includes an elongated opening that extends through both ends of the retaining member and the bottom stop is omitted. The slide member includes at least one protruding portion that protrudes from the retaining member when the slide member is slid into and retained by the retaining member. The slide member abuts the bottom stop of the retaining member when such bottom stop is provided within the retaining member. In cases in which the retaining member is provided with two open ends, the slide member may include two protruding portions that protrude from both open ends of the retaining member.

Adjustable horizontal form-fill-seal devices and methods of using same

A first film can be conveyed through a horizontal form-fill-seal machine that contains tooling stations in which bottom sealer bars are positioned in different tooling stations relative to side sealer bars. The first film can be processed by the machine to form a first pouch. After the first pouch is formed, a vertical height of one or more of the side sealer bars and/or one or more of the bottom sealer bars can be selectively adjusted. The same bottom and side sealer bars remain in the machine during the selective adjusting of the vertical height. After the selective adjusting of the vertical height of the component, a second film can be conveyed through the horizontal form-fill-seal machine. The second film can be processed by the machine to form a second pouch having at least one dimension that is different than the first pouch.

The bags are configured to enable the bag to conform to an inner surface area of the rigid container. The method comprising the steps of establishing an inert trusted transfer environment and penetrating shell of a coconut with at least one of a self sealing probe. The method then modifies an atmospheric condition within the coconut by providing the inert gas at a desired atmospheric pressure to engender flow of the coconut water through an egress port. The coconut water is then sterilized by way of a cold micro-filter array. The method then circulating the coconut water between a chiller and the oxygen free collection vessel to maintain the coconut water at a predetermined chill temperature until filling. Product packages are filled within an aseptic ultra clean environment that encompasses the filler. The method also includes options for oxygen free cold brewing of coffee, teas, and other using coconut water.

First and second welding jaws weld the first sheet and the second sheet to close two sides of the bag and leave a third side of the bag open. A filling chute fills the bag by the third side of the bag. Third welding jaws close the bag by sealing the third side.
