Expanded foam shipping container
A product to be shipped is placed on a platform. A conveyor belt moves the product and platform toward a packaging station where mold forms at least define a space which encloses the product. Expanding foam is then injected via injector lines into the space. Once the expanding foam has at least partially hardened, the mold forms may be retracted and the package is moved to a next station for at least one of finishing, loading, or storing. The foam thus becomes the shipping package for the product. This eliminates the need to store shipping containers of multiple standardized sizes and shapes, and to fill the standardized shipping containers with dunnage. The mold forms also provide for customized exterior shapes for the shipping package.
Wrapper for confectionary products
Described herein is a wrapper (1) for food products, in particular confectionary products, comprisinga wrapping sheet shaped so as to define a curved portion (2) within which a product is housed;a tear strip (6) applied on an inner side of said sheet, andan adhesive label (16) applied on the outer side of said curved portion (2) and on one end of said tear strip (6). The adhesive label (16) provides hermetic closing of the wrapper which is provided with a cut (12) at said one end of the tear strip (6) and at the same time comes to constitute, together with the tear strip (6) the means for opening the wrapper.
CONTAINER CARRYING DEVICE
Apparatuses and embodiments related to container carrying devices. A container carrying device includes a plurality of full or partial apertures, each with a neck-engaging locking mechanism to receive and hold a container. The neck-engaging locking mechanism can include a mechanism to assist to hold and retain a container in the container carrying device, such as a clamping finger, a vertically oriented flange, a locking tab, etc. In some embodiments, a container carrying device can have a mechanical release strip that enables a portion of the container carrying device to be torn off, such as along a tear line that passes through one or more apertures. When a mechanical release strip is torn off, the container being held by the aperture through which the mechanical release strip passes is freed.
MULTI-PORTION REMOVABLE COVER APPARATUS AND RELAED METHODS
Apparatus and methods are disclosed for sealing openings on containers and other structures, permitting selective removal of portions of the seal structure, and for similar selective removal of portions of adhesive elements such as bandages.
ARTICLE FOR STORAGE OF THIN-FILM DRUG
The present invention describes an article for storage and delivery of a unit dosage form of a drug. The unit dosage form can be in the form of a thin-film or transdermal patch. The article can be used to facilitate removal of a unit dosage form of the therapeutic for those subjects having reduced dexterity.
3D Printed Vehicle Packaging
Packages used to deliver items or other payloads via a drone may be customized and 3D printed to house the payload. The package may be customized to minimize the size and/or weight needed to house the payload. The customized packages may include one or more attachment mechanisms adapted to engage with or otherwise be coupled to the drone for delivery. Multiple individual customized packages can be secured together into a composite package for delivery by drone. The customized package may be designed to be aerodynamic given the shape of the payload and the flight characteristics of the drone. The drone itself may be the package, with the payload housed within a portion of the drone. The package and/or a portion of the drone (e.g., fuselage, wing, body, frame, etc.) may be printed at least partially in, on, or around an item or package to be transported by the drone.
Flexible, stackable container and method and system for manufacturing the same
A flexible, stackable container for storing a quantity of a product may include a sealed package formed from a single sheet of film and retaining the quantity of the product disposed therein, and a lid fitment attached to a first side of the package. The first side of the package may have an outer first surface of the film and outwardly extending first corner seals formed in the film at the edges of the first side and surrounding the first side of the package. The package may also have a second side disposed opposite the first side and outwardly extending second corner seals formed in the film at the edges of the second side and surrounding the second side of the package.
3-D printed packaging
Items may be packaged for shipping or storage using additive manufacturing techniques, also known as three dimensional (3-D) printing. Packages made by such processes may be referred to as 3-D printed packages. A packaging system may include a 3-D printer and a computing device communicatively coupled to the 3-D printer. The computing device may obtain a packaging model describing a package for one or more items. A print module of the computing device may include instructions to print the package at least partially about the item(s) according to the packaging model. The configuration of a 3-D printed package may be based at least in part on one or more other packages. A 3-D printed package may include multiple separable compartments. A unit of 3-D printed packages may include multiple separable packages.
Gas and light proof, double-shell blister packs for medicinal contents
The present invention is related to a double-shell blister packaging (1) for medicinal contents comprising one or more cavityies of a similar shape to the medicinal content, said double-shell packaging (1) being the assembly of a first and second mutilayer structures sealed to each other, each multilayer structure comprising a seal layer (3), one or more aluminium layers (4) with a thickness of at least 20 ?m, preferably 30 ?m, and two or more support layers (2), wherein said two or more support layers (2) have a tensile strength at break in machine and transversal direction of 200 N/mm.sup.2 or more, and an elongation at break of 50% or more, preferably 70% or more, measured according to EN ISO 527-3, each of said multilayer structures comprising cavities which, arranged face to face, enclose in use said medicinal content.
