The invention relates to a suction bag emptying device (20) comprising a container (19) for receiving a suction bag (3), the container (19) having a discharge point for discharging the contents of the suction bag. The emptying device (20) comprises means for puncturing a bag portion without making contact with the bag. The invention further relates to an assembly comprising at least one suction bag (3) and a suction bag emptying device (20), and to a method for emptying a suction bag (3).

Embodiments described herein are directed to an external, female, gravity-based drainage system. The system includes a body having a front side and a rear side and a drainage tube extending from a bottom side. The body can include a finger groove disposed on the front side and configured to allow a user to grasp the body from the front side alone without any opposing force applied to the rear side. The user can then position the funnel, disposed on the rear side of the body, over a labia region to capture any fluids voided therefrom. The fluids can be directed towards the lumen of the drainage tube and directed towards a suitable receptacle. Advantageously, the shape of the drainage system can be easily grasped and manipulated from a single side which can be important for patients with limited manual dexterity.

An ostomy output transfer system with a support structure configured to mount to a toilet, a wall, a different structure, or to be mounted to or stand on the floor near a toilet, a funnel held by the support structure, where the funnel has an interior wall and an exit opening, a water source that conveys water into or onto the funnel such that the water runs down the interior wall of the funnel, and a drain from the funnel exit that is configured to be positioned over the bowl of the toilet, to drain ostomy bag contents and water from the funnel into the toilet.
