LABEL APPLYING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A method of printing and applying a label to an item moving in a conveyance direction along a conveyance path involves: utilizing a print and labeling assembly that includes a label stock path that feeds label stock past a printer to print on a label of the label stock to produce a printed label that is dispensed in a first direction onto a label applying belt that moves in a second direction, wherein the first direction is substantially perpendicular to the second direction such that the printed label moves onto the label applying belt from a lateral side of the label applying belt; and the label applying belt moves the printed label into position to engage with the item as it moves along the conveyance path. A label print and apply system and apparatus is also provided.

Label-affixing machine and stretch-wrapping machine
A label-affixing machine affixes a label, which is conveyed by a label conveying body, to the back surface of a product being conveyed. The label-affixing machine includes a label holding unit configured to hold a label so that an adhesive surface of the label faces outward, a pressing mechanism configured to press a label conveying body, which is disposed on a side facing the label holding unit, against the adhesive surface of the held label by moving the label conveying body toward the label holding unit, and a controller that controls the drive of the label conveying body and the pressing mechanism to affix the label to the back surface of the product.

Drug portion packaging device
The present invention has an object to provide a drug packaging device including a printing unit configured to perform printing by jetting ink and being capable of performing the printing on a packaging paper with high printing quality without including a support base or the like for the packaging paper. A drug packaging device (10) includes a drug supply unit (20), a packaging unit (30), a packaging paper conveying unit (40), and a printing unit (60). The printing unit (60) includes an ink ejection unit (62) capable of ejecting ink downward. A conveyance path (T) of the packaging paper conveying unit (40) includes: an intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) for conveying a packaging paper (S) in a direction intersecting an ejection direction of the ink; and a first conveyance direction switching section (46) and a second conveyance direction switching section (48) for changing the conveyance direction of the packaging paper (S) on upstream and downstream, respectively, of the intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) in a conveyance direction of the packaging paper (S). The ink ejection unit (62) is arranged at a position spaced apart upward from the intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) by a predetermined distance.
High speed labeler for large produce items
An automatic, high speed labeling machine is provided for applying individual labels to large and variable size produce items. The label strips used are much larger and heavier than known label strips used for small produce such as apples and pears. The increased weight causes label strip overrun when the labeler is paused and also causes slippage of the label strip. A label strip deflector is provided which causes the larger and heavier label strip to fold back on itself rather than to overrun and foul the application of labels. The drive rollers are modified to eliminate slippage of the heavier label strip.
