ROBOTIC LABELING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LABELING PACKAGES
A robotic labeling system includes a package locating system and a package identification system identifying a package orientation. The robotic labeling system includes a label application system having first and second label printers and first and second label applicators. The label printers are both capable of printing a shipping label and a customer specific label. The first label applicator applies a first label (either the shipping label or the customer specific label) to a first side of the package while the second label applicator applies a second label (other of the shipping label or the customer specific label) to a second side of the package different than the first side. The printing and application of the labels is based on the orientation of the package.
ROBOTIC LABELING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LABELING PACKAGES
A robotic labeling system includes a package locating system for locating a package at a labeling station and a package identification system having a scanning device configured to scan an identification tag on the package to identify the package. The package identification system has a package measurement module configured to determine at least one dimension of the package and a package orientation module configured to determine an orientation of the package in the labeling station. The robotic labeling system includes a label application system including a label printer printing a label for the package based on an identity of the package determined by the scanning device and a label applicator operated to apply the label based on a measurement input from the package measurement module and based on an orientation input from the package orientation module.

Sheet pasting device and sheet pasting method
A sheet pasting device EA which pastes an adhesive sheet AS on a work WK includes: a feeding unit 10 which feeds the adhesive sheet AS; a holding unit 20 which holds the adhesive sheet AS fed by the feeding unit 10, on a holding surface 21A of a holding member 21; a press unit 30 which moves the holding unit 20 holding the adhesive sheet AS and presses the adhesive sheet AS against an attachment surface WK1 of the work WK to paste the adhesive sheet AS; and an attachment surface posture detecting unit 40 which detects at least one of the direction and the position of the attachment surface WK1 of the work WK moving relative to the sheet pasting device EA.
ROBOTIC LABELING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LABELING PACKAGES
A robotic labeling system for packages includes a package database management system including a package database storing package data and a package labeling controller communicatively coupled to the package database management system. The robotic labeling system includes a package locating system receiving locating inputs from the package labeling controller for locating the packages at a labeling station and a package identification system having a scanning device scanning an identification tag on the package to determine the package identification and orientation. The robotic labeling system includes a label application system having a labeling device and label applicator that prepares and applies a shipping label and a customer specific label to the package based on the content data stored in the package database. The robotic labeling system may verify the applied labels based on the scanned data on the package and either discharging or rejecting the package based on the scanned data.

Device and method for labeling individual packages
An apparatus for labeling a package (1) including an advancing device (2) for transporting the package in a transport direction (X) and an application device (3) for applying a dispensed label (4) to the package. The application device includes an oscillating punch (7) having a punch stem (5) and a punch foot (6) connected thereto. The dispensed label is picked up by the punch foot from a pickup position, moved to a deposit position, and applied by the punch foot to the package. The punch stem is movably mounted on a guide element (8), held in a direction of gravitational force (Y) by a holder (9), and mounted pivotably about a horizontal pivot axis (X1) that runs orthogonal to the direction of gravitational force. The guide element carries at least one component of the holder and is pivotable about the pivot axis. Also a labeling method that utilizes the apparatus.
SAFETY LIFTING DEVICE
A safety lifting device for positioning a labelling unit in a vertical direction (Z) in relation to a flow of objects where the labelling unit is arranged for printing labels and/or applying labels to the objects. The lifting device includes a linear actuator, a balancing unit, a drive unit connected to the linear actuator, and a movable section. The labelling unit is connected to the movable section. The linear actuator is connected to the movable section and arranged to control the position of the labelling unit. The balancing unit is arranged to counterbalance the gravitational force exerted on the linear actuator. The movable section of the lifting device includes an upper stand unit, and the lifting device further includes a lower stand unit. The upper stand unit is movably arranged in relation to the lower stand unit in the vertical direction.
System and method for placing labels on moving objects
Disclosed are various embodiments for systems and methods for calibrating a label applicator for improved accuracy and/or precision on moving objects. In one example, a system may be configured to receive a height of a package on a conveyor path prior to the package reaching a label applicator. The system can be configured to determine a predicted tamp time for the package based on the height. The predicted tamp time can represent an estimated period of time for a tamp head to apply a label on the package. The system also can instruct a controller operating a label applicator to activate the tamp head for the package based on the predicted tamp time. The system can receive an actual tamp time from the controller after the label has been applied to the package and update the modeling coefficient based on a tamp time error.
