Tubular holder
The present disclosure is directed to a holder. The holder includes a main body, the main body including an interior surface and an exterior surface, a film that extends around at least a portion of the circumference of a first end of the main body and covers an opening of the first end of the main body, and a sheet including a first surface and a second surface, the second surface opposed to the first surface, the first surface operably attached to the seal at at least one point, the sheet configured to extend a distance along an interior of the main body from the first end towards a second end, wherein at least a portion of the first surface of the sheet contacts the interior surface of the main body, and wherein a liquid composition contacts a second surface of the sheet.
Piezoelectric fluid dispenser
Fluid delivery devices and methods are described, where the device may comprise a piezoelectric actuator operatively coupled to an ampoule with fluid, under a preloading force. The ampoule may comprise a thin-walled thermoplastic package which includes one or more apertures positioned on the wall of the ampoule. The piezoelectric actuator may be configured to clamp at least partially around the circumference of the ampoule and apply oscillations to its wall. The oscillations, typically in ultrasonic frequency, produce cycles of acoustic pressure in the fluid, leading to ejection of the fluid droplets or streams from the apertures.
SINGLE-SERVE PORTION PACK
A single-serve portion pack may have a multilayer film structure including a protective layer, a print, a base layer and a peelable seal layer. The print is situated in-between the protective layer and the base layer. The protective layer is a polyalkylene terephthalate based layer having a stress value at 20% strain, at 90 C., comprised between 5 and 20 MPa (preferably between 5 and 15 MPa), and a melting peak temperature comprised between 190 and 240 C. (preferably between 200 and 230 C.).
Container with tapered connector
A hermetically sealed thermoplastic container or ampoule having a hollow body portion, a neck portion, unitary with the body portion and terminating in a circumferential, inwardly extending sealing flange, and a removable cap. The neck portion defines an access passageway to the hollow body portion a portion of which is configured as a tapered female connector adapted to receive a tapered male connector when the access passageway is open. The outer surface of the neck portion can be provided with lugs for engaging a tapered male connector with a threaded collar.
DISPENSER WITH APPLICATOR TIP
A dispenser (1) for liquids includes a reservoir (100) defining a volume (V100) for housing a liquid (150); a delivery tube (200) with a first end (201) attached to the reservoir, and a second end (202) distal from the reservoir, the delivery tube including a passage (203) in fluid communication with the volume of the reservoir and extending away from the reservoir; an applicator element (300) including an applicator tip (320) and a base (310) attached to the second end of the delivery tube, the applicator tip having a plurality of fingers (322) extending away from the base to a distal end of the applicator element distal from the delivery tube; and a removable seal (340), wherein removal of the removable seal creates an opening in the passage at a location upstream of the applicator tip and a fluid distribution channel between the fingers.
METHOD FOR FILLING A MEDICAL PACKAGING, FILLING DEVICE, AND MEDICAL PACKAGING FORMED AS A POUCH
The invention relates to a method and to a device for filling a medical packaging formed as a pouch. Preferably, the packaging is filled with liquid via a port, wherein the port is aerated with a protective gas, such as nitrogen, for example, during filling According to the invention, prior to filling with liquid, the packaging is filled with an inert gas, such as nitrogen, for example, which then provides the headspace of the filled and closed pouch. This results in a particularly low oxygen content in the headspace of the pouch.
Squeeze Bottle
The present invention relates to a squeeze bottle integrally including a container body including a housing portion for housing a liquid composition and a spout connected to the housing portion; and a lid joined to the container body so as to seal an opening of the spout, in which the container body contains a resin containing cyclic olefins and polyethylenes.
LIQUID ANT BAIT PACK WITH TEAR-AWAY TAB
A liquid ant bait pack having a primary bait well and a plurality of feeding reservoirs for holding liquid bait is provided in which the walls of the feeding reservoirs as well as the primary bait well are sloped to facilitate ant access to the liquid bait held therein while reducing the risk of the ants falling into the bait and drowning. Ant access is further facilitated by dry platform areas positioned between the reservoirs. The inclusion of multiple feeding reservoirs, the bait well and the dry platform areas provides an increased area over which ants can simultaneously access the bait. The entrance to the bait pack is sealed during manufacture and then readily opened by the consumer using a tear-off tab that can removed without the need for any tools.
Internet-enabled beverage maker
A home beverage dispensing device for dispensing servings of a beverage, having a vessel for holding a volume of liquid. This vessel may be equipped with a refrigeration unit, or may be comprised of a removable pitcher that may be put in an external refrigerator. This invention is equipped with a radio communications controller to provide for the ability to communicate over radio frequencies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A special disposable beverage cartridge or beverage pouch fits into the holder. This cartridge or pouch may have pressure rupturable seals or diaphragms and contain beverage concentrate. The mixing structure also receives the optionally chilled liquid from vessel for holding a volume of liquid, and ensures that the concentrate mixes with the liquid without contacting the walls of the mixing structure.
