Drinking cup
A sanitary disposable drinking cup is described. The cup is designed to be grabbed from the top when served, but has a portion of its top circumference that is recessed vertically, so as to create both separate gripping and drinking surfaces so as to allow for serving personnel to handle the cup from the top surface without the necessity of contaminating the drinking surface. The cup is designed to nest so as to accommodate multiple cups being easily stored.
System and Method for Applying Aroma Releasing Material to Product Packaging
A system for creating a microencapsulate coating composition and the method of adding the scented microencapsulate coating to product packaging. The microencapsulate coating contains scented compounds that are encapsulated to create encapsulated particles. The encapsulant can be either water soluble or hydrophobic depending upon the intended application. The encapsulated particles are mixed with a binding agent, to create a scented microencapsulate coating. The scented microencapsulate coating is applied to packaging in areas that will be touched as the packaging is manipulated. The physical contact ruptures the microencapsulate coating and releases the scented compounds contained therein.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN WIDE-MOUTHED CONTAINER, MANUFACTURING DEVICE, AND RESIN WIDE-MOUTHED CONTAINER
A method for manufacturing a resin wide-mouthed container includes at least: injection-molding a bottomed preform made of resin; and blow-molding the injection-molded preform. During the injection molding, the preform is injection-molded such that an overhanging section overhanging outward is formed on an outer peripheral section of a first lip section closer to a first body section than a flange section, and while the first lip section, which is provided with the overhanging section, is held by a lip mold, which has a recessed section that engages with the overhanging section, the preform is separated from an injection molding die.
Flexible lightweight container
A light weight container (1) comprising a base (3), four sidewalls (2) and four corner portions, characterized in that the corner portions are so arranged as to allow flexibility between the sidewalk (2) so that an upper opening area of the container (1) can be made smaller by forcing the sidewalls (2) towards each other (compression) and larger by forcing the sidewalk (2) apart (expansion). The invention also relates to a process for the manufacturing of a container (1).

BOTTLE CAN, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF BOTTLE CAN, AND DESIGN METHOD OF BOTTLE CAN
A bottle can made of aluminum alloy has a base portion; a cylindrical body portion connected to an upper end of the base portion; a reduced diameter portion where a diameter reduces from an upper end of the cylindrical body portion to an upper side; a neck portion provided at an upper side of the reduced diameter portion; and a mouth portion having a male thread portion and a bulge portion provided at an upper side of the neck portion. The reduced diameter portion has: a convex curved portion continuing to the upper end of the cylindrical body portion; a concave curved portion continuing to an upper end of the convex curved portion; a lower convex portion continuing to an upper end of the concave curved portion; and an upper concave portion continuing an upper end of the lower convex portion and a lower end of the neck portion.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEEP-DRAWING A TRAY FROM SHEET MATERIAL
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for deep-drawing a tray (1) from a blank of sheet material (2). The blank is provided with score lines, which determine the location of wrinkles formed in the process. The apparatus comprises a female moulding tool (3), which comprises a cavity (7) for forming the tray bot-tom outwardly, a male moulding tool (4), which comprises a plunger (11) for form-ing the tray bottom inwardly, the plunger being movable with respect to the cavity for forming the tray, and clamps (6, 15) with an interface for holding the sheet ma-terial and forming a tray rim flange. According to the invention by laterally distanc-ing at least one of the moulding tools (3, 4) from the sheet material leeway is pro-vided for free forming so that wrinkling of the tray side walls is achieved in a con-trolled manner. Spacer plates (13) may be positioned behind the plunger (11), to adjust its position in relation to the cavity (7) of the female moulding tool (3). The cavity may have a separate bottom plate (8) and spacer plates (9) therebelow, or screw means may be provided for adjusting the distance of the bottom of the cavi-ty from the clamp interface and thereby varying the depth of the tray.

Cups and containers with a living hinge and sleeves
The present invention is directed to containers for holding non-food items having a living hinge and a quad or multi seal structure on the lid such that the seal created by the contact of the lid with the inside of the cup or container ensures a secure, friction fit orientation to prevent spillage or leakage of the contents therein. The quad or multi directional seal is created by multiple ribs on the lid that securably fit within the base of the container and indentations oriented in the bases, or by multiple ribs on the lid that securably fit within a channel structure in the top of the base of the container, the channel structure having the indentations in order to create a secure fit.
Fiber-Based Food Containers
Methods and apparatus for manufacturing a microwavable food container include: forming a wire mesh over a mold comprising a mirror image of the microwavable food container; immersing the wire mesh in a fiber-based slurry bath; drawing a vacuum across the wire mesh to cause fiber particles to accumulate at the wire mesh surface; and removing the wire mesh including the accumulated fiber particles from the slurry bath; wherein the slurry comprises one or more of a moisture barrier, an oil barrier, and a vapor barrier.
