YARN-CARRYING AND DISPENSING APPARATUS
Described herein are embodiments of a yarn-carrying and dispensing apparatus. The embodiments described allow knitters to easily transport, carry and use balls of yarn for knitting and other knitting materials. The embodiments prevent the ball of yarn from rolling away or getting tangled or intertwined. The embodiments also easily and smoothly dispense the yarn, making the knitting more efficient and easier for the knitter. The embodiments provide additional elements to accommodate a knitter: (i) a ruler allowing, for example, to measure a knitting sampler; (ii) a needle gauge and needle openings, allowing, for example, to measure the size of a needle; and (3) an insert allowing, for example, to hold one or more balls of yarn.
SUBSTANTIVELY HERMETICALLY SEALING CONTAINER
A container that seals in a volume of material is provided. The container may be routinely opened, closed and material may be removed or added. A removable plate and a base define a maximum volume available for material when the container is sealed. A screen may be disposed between the plate and the base. The screen may optionally be comprised within the base, adhered to the base, or removable from the base. Features for enabling manipulation of the plate and/or screen are optionally provided.
Metal container
A metal container body 1 comprises a base and a generally cylindrical side wall 3. The top edge of the cylindrical side wall is rolled over to form a hollow annular bead 5 surrounding the upper open end of the container body and a notch 6 is formed at a circumferential point in the annular bead. The container body is for use with a releasable closure 2 formed with an end wall 7 and a depending skirt 8 and having an annular layer of sealing material 9 provided on the inside of the end wall adjacent the skirt. When the closure is pressed onto the container body, the annular bead engages the annular layer of sealing material and some of that material extends into the notch 6. The closure is held on the container only by the partial vacuum formed therein during processing of a food product in the container. After processing, the user opens the container by rotating the closure. Sealing material in the notch forces the closure to lift off from the container to break the seal and release the closure.

A surface-treated steel sheet including a tin-plated steel sheet having a tin plating on a steel sheet; a tin oxide layer formed on the tin-plated steel sheet and containing tin oxide as a main component; a composite oxide layer formed on the tin oxide layer and containing phosphoric acid and aluminum as main components; and an aluminum-oxygen compound layer formed on the composite oxide layer and containing an aluminum-oxygen compound as a main component, wherein the tin oxide layer has a thickness of 8 to 20 nm.
Thinned Metal Can End
A thinned metal can end having a non-uniform thickness profile is provided. The can end has a central panel having at least a first thickness, a middle portion having at least a second thickness greater than the first thickness, and an end portion having at least a third thickness greater than the first and second thicknesses. The can end is configured to be joined to a can wall by a double seam.
Apparatus and Method for Redrawing a Cup with a Reformed Bottom
An apparatus and method of forming a metallic cup that is subsequently reformed into a container body is provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus and methods used to form a metallic cup with a reformed bottom having an inwardly oriented projection. The inwardly oriented projection reduces a height of the metallic cup but utilizes the same amount of metallic stock material as a taller cup with substantially the same diameter that does not have an inward projection. The inwardly oriented projection thus allows the use of a conventional bodymaker and other can manufacturing tools to convert the cup into a container body of a preferred size and shape.
Three-piece can and method of manufacturing the same
A three-piece can includes a can body obtained by forming a steel sheet such that a roundness of the can is 0.34 mm or less. The steel sheet contains: by mass %, C: 0.020% or more and 0.100% or less; Si: 0.10% or less; Mn: 0.10% or more and 0.80% or less; P: 0.001% or more and 0.100% or less; S: 0.001% or more and 0.020% or less; Al: 0.005% or more and 0.100% or less; and N: 0.0130% or more and 0.0200% or less. The balance is Fe and inevitable impurities. The steel sheet has a yield strength of 440 MPa or more and a total elongation of 12% or more.
Container with integrated handles
An exemplary container for storing and transporting materials is disclosed. In various embodiments, the exemplary container includes one or more handles for assisting a user with lifting the exemplary container and/or controlling the exemplary container when pouring the exemplary container's contents. The one or more handles, in particular embodiments, are designed for minimum interference with other similar containers during transport. In some embodiments, certain handles are recessed within a cavity of a sidewall of the exemplary container.
RESEALABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER
A resealable beverage container comprising: a cylindrical body having an open first end portion and a closed second end portion; a radially inwardly extending ledge disposed circumferentially on the body at the open first end portion; a neck section disposed upward from the ledge terminating in an upper edge in an outward curled seal lip defining a pour opening; said neck section having a generally cylindrical central upper part, the outer surface of the central upper part having a first diameter; a first set of lug channels defined by the central upper part and formed inward to the first diameter about the central upper part for cooperation with a cap closure member; a removable cap closure member covering the pouring opening and including a top wall and a cap body shaped to extend downward from said top wall around the central upper part, said cap body terminating in a generally circular lower rim; and a set of lugs formed or attached inward within the cap body of the cap closure member to a second diameter less than the first diameter to be received in the lug channels to retain the cap closure member onto the neck portion.
Cover for opening and closing cans
The invention relates to a cover for opening and closing cans, in particular beverage cans, having a top circular cover component and a bottom cover component. By moving the two cover components relative to one another, at least one through-hole can be opened and re-closed by both cover components. A highly effective seal is obtained by precise coordination of the form of the top and bottom cover components, which can be increased even further by the additional use of sealing materials such as varnish, rubber, plastic or welded connections.
