Tabs and related methods
Tabs having cleats and related methods are disclosed. An example tab includes a lift end and a nose opposite the lift end, where the nose is to at least partially extend over a pour panel of the can end. A central webbing is interposed between the lift end and the nose. The central webbing defines a hinge line about which the tab is to pivot away from a center panel of the can end when the tab is coupled to the can end. A first cleat is formed on the nose. The first cleat is offset relative to a first side of the center axis of the tab such that a longitudinal axis of the first cleat intersects the center axis at a first angle.
Resealable beverage can lid
A resealable beverage can lid is disclosed having a lid having a top side having a scored opening and a bottom side, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, the first rivet having an indentation formed in the bottom side of the lid, a tab portion connected to the first rivet, the tab portion being magnetized, a second rivet connected to the indentation of the first rivet, and a closure element connected to the second rivet, movement of the tab portion capable of moving the closure element.
CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR THE OPENING OF A BEVERAGE CAN
An apparatus is disclosed and includes a can, which has an end wall incorporating a vent panel and a pouring panel, both panels presenting a contour defined by a rupture line. The apparatus includes an actuation tab with an extracting end portion affixed to the vent panel. The actuation tab includes a punching end portion affixed to the pouring panel and a lower end tooth to be pressed against a spot region of the rupture line of the pouring panel. The actuation tab includes a grip portion affixed to the extracting end portion and is designed to be manually and upwardly actuated for detaching the vent panel from the end wall. The grip portion is designed to punch and rupture the spot region of the rupture line of the pouring panel and, subsequently, detaching the latter from the end wall.
Dual acting pop top lid
A container includes an end wall having a rivet and a frangible score line that defines a curved tongue shaped panel. The frangible score line terminates at each end substantially on a radial line extending from a lever mounting hole formed within the curved tongue shaped panel. A tab is riveted to the lever-mounting hole to act as second-degree lever. The tab has a first actuating point extending toward the distal looping portion of the frangible score line. The tab has a fulcrum portion extending opposite to the first actuating point and terminating within the curved tongue shape. Lifting of the first actuating point pulls upward on the curved tongue shaped panel at the distal looping portion imparts a shear force of the frangible score line to initiate upward rolling of an extended portion of the curved tongue shaped panel.

Redesigned Pull Tab Systems
Improved pull tab systems may include an upper apex curve system (A) with lateral and downward legs (AB) and (AC) with lower curve systems (B) and (C) with the lower curved systems or lower ends sometimes raised above the surface (S) of the can top. Lower legs (AB) and (AC) may be angled in the range of 10 to 35 degrees. The distance between the upper apex (A) and line (BC) may be in the range of 1 to 6 mm. The upper apex curve system (A) and/or lower curve systems (B) and (C) may include curvilinear and/or compound curvilinear corners. The improved pull tab systems enable easier finger or tool access for lifting a tab so as to open a container.

Bio-degradable container
Biodegradable bottle cap is a water bottle cap containing the plastic eating fungus pestalotiopsismicrosporia. When the consumer is done drinking from the bottle, the cap has a tab that is pulled and this tab releases the fungus. The fungus consumes the plastic bottle and the cap so no trace is left behind. The cap is made of plastic and the fungus is contained in an aluminum casing. Also contain in the casing is the safe food dye which will be coloring the water in case of accidental release or opening of the casing before the use of the drinking water. Such water coloring will be an indication to avoid using the water for drinking though the fungus is safe after human galloping.

Lid for containers of substances and container of substances comprising said lid
A lid for a container made of metal and able to contain a substance, it comprises a closing element defined by a line of incision provided with a front portion, an opening lever disposed astride the line of incision and comprising a fulcrum front end disposed at the front of the front portion, and an intermediate region provided with a flexible tongue attached to the closing element, a mechanical element configured to attach the flexible tongue mechanically to the closing element. The mechanical element is disposed essentially tangent to the front portion of the line of incision.
