TRANSPORT AND STORAGE ENCLOSURE
The present invention relates to the field of the transportation and storage of goods, to a modular container for shipping and handling cargo and to a storage system therefor, and to such a container that may be easily assembled or disassembled. In particular, but not necessarily restricted thereto, the present invention relates to a system for the transportation and storage of palletized goods.
APPARATUS FOR SECURING BOXES ON A PALLET
In at least one embodiment, an apparatus for securing boxes on a pallet may a L-shaped structural member sized to run a length or a width of a pallet, the L-shaped structural member having a top side and a bottom side. The L-shaped structural member allows for securing a load on the pallet. The L-shaped structural member also provides additional surface area for plastic wrap to secure a load.
Low stress packaging design to minimize pellet blocking
Packaging configuration comprising: a pallet comprising a top surface, a bottom surface and a height HP; a first stack of bagged goods having a total height HL1, stacked on the pallet and comprising at least two layers; and a support structure comprising at least four walls situated over the first stack of bagged goods, one of the walls being a top wall and at least three of the walls being sidewalls. The support structure has a height HC that meets one of the following equations: HC>HL1, when the bottom end of at least one sidewall of the support structure is positioned on the top surface of the at least one pallet; or HC>HP+HL1, when the bottom end of at least one sidewall of the support structure and the bottom surface of the pallet are both positioned on the same surface. An air gap having a height HAG is situated between a top layer of the first stack of bagged goods and the top wall of the support structure.
AUTOMATED STORAGE OPTIMIZATION AND STACKABLE PALLETS
Examples described herein provide a system that includes a pallet. The pallet includes a base and a support member extending from the base. The support member is configured to support another pallet upwardly adjacent to and spaced from goods on the pallet. The support member is configured with an indexing feature. The system further includes a robot including a pallet engaging member configured to engage the pallet at the indexing feature on the support member. The system further includes a control system to control the robot based on a task.
Structural element
A structural element (10) for forming a panel, with an upper plane (12) and lower plane (14) which are parallel and deformed along their plane at intervals by pods (16) which extrude toward the opposing plane with their internal faces mating to one another.
Shipping frame and shield
An improved shipping frame for use with storage and/or transporting goods includes four corner posts and a top surface and a bottom surface. The corner posts comprise of telescoping leg sections whereby the smaller dimensioned section fits within the larger dimensioned section and can be locked at a particular height. A shield assembly comprises a rear shield and two side shields is affixed to the top section of the frame to brace any upper load therein.
Reconfigurable pallet/dolly platform
A reconfigurable pallet/dolly platform includes a top deck that includes a product support surface and an opposing underside. The underside includes pallet support leg attachment areas for receiving pallet support legs when configured as a pallet, and dolly wheel attachment areas for receiving dolly wheels when configured as a dolly. The product support surface includes pallet support leg receiving areas aligned with the pallet support leg attachment areas and configured to engage the pallet support legs from an identical platform stacked thereon when configured as a pallet. The product support surface also includes dolly wheel receiving areas aligned with the dolly wheel wells and configured to engage the dolly wheels from an identical platform stacked thereon when configured as a dolly. Each dolly wheel receiving area partially overlaps with one of the pallet support leg receiving areas.
Stackable fractional plastic pallet
A pallet includes a top deck that includes a product support surface and an opposing underside, and with the product support surface including a pair of pallet support leg receiving areas. A pair of pallet support legs is on the underside of the top deck and aligned with the pallet support leg receiving areas. Each pallet support leg including a center leg section having a first end adjacent the underside of the top deck and a second end opposite the first end, and a pair of leg extensions extending outwards from the second end of the center leg section. An underside of the center leg section and the pair of leg extensions are configured to engage one of the pallet support leg receiving areas of an identical pallet when stacked thereon.
Modular deck system for use with movable platforms
Disclosed herein is a modular deck system that utilizes a combination of a movable platform having a plurality of vertical posts with engagement members. Decks, filled with freight, can be placed onto the vertical posts at various heights at different sections of the movable platform using a conveyance vehicle. Further, the height of the vertical posts can be extended using an extension post for securing tall cargo. The decks can also be locked to the vertical posts to prevent dislodgement of the deck during transport of the movable platform.
Stackable rack for irregularly shaped products
A welded steel rack has angular protrusions on the top that engage matching recesses on the bottom for stacking, and has offset front posts that form a flue gap when arranged side-by-side. A deck is perforated.
