ANTI-THEFT PROTECTION FOR ARTICLES OF EQUIPMENT
Disclosed is an anti-theft device for at least one article of equipment, comprising: a body having at least one article-receiving passage that is open along a first article-receiving axis thereof, the at least one article-receiving passage configured in a first article-receiving mode to receive a structural segment of the article of equipment such that a second axis of the article of equipment will align with the first article-receiving axis, and configured in a second article-gripping and/or holding mode to grip and/or hold the structural segment of the article of equipment so as to minimize movement of the article of equipment relative to the passage, the body being configured to be maintained in the second mode to encumber the article.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING A TRAINING OF USERS ON A PLURALITY OF EXERCISE MACHINES
A method manages training of users on exercise machines provides a control unit of a user training class on exercise machines. The control unit is accessible by a trainer user managing the training class. Exercise machines are operatively connected to the control unit by a data communication network. The control unit loads a training program to be performed for the class users chosen by the trainer user in a respective memory module of the control unit. The control unit sends a training start command to the exercise machines by the data communication network. The training starts following receipt of the training start command. An operation control instruction of each exercise machine is sent to the exercise machines by the control unit and data communication network. Operation of each exercise machine is controlled based on the operation control instruction of each exercise machine received from the control unit.
LOCKING APPARATUS FOR AN ADJUSTABLE BASKETBALL GOAL
A locking apparatus for an adjustable basketball goal. The locking apparatus may include a center plate, a sleeve, a first side plate, and a second side plate. The center plate may define a center plate opening. The sleeve may extend from the center plate and define a bore extending therethrough. The bore may terminate at the center plate opening, and the sleeve may further define a pair of apertures disposed opposite one another. The first side plate may extend from a first end portion of the center plate. The second side plate may extend from a second end portion of the center plate.
MOTOR-LESS CURVED TREADMILL
A motor-less curved treadmill with a base having a physical exercise surface configured for rotating around a first roller and a second roller, converting the potential energy of the user on the physical exercise surface into rotational kinetic energy. A first coupling device allows the first pulley and the first roller to revolve if the rotational speed of the first roller is equal to or greater than the rotational speed of the first pulley, and prevents the first pulley and the first roller from rotating if the rotational speed of the first roller is less the rotation speed of the first pulley.
Curved treadmill
A curved treadmill with a base having a physical exercise surface configured for rotating around a first roller and a second roller, converting the potential energy of the user on the physical exercise surface into rotational kinetic energy. A first coupling device operatively connects a first pulley to the first roller. The first coupling device allows the first pulley and the first roller to revolve if the rotational speed of the first roller is equal to or greater than the rotational speed of the first pulley, and prevents the first pulley and the first roller from rotating if the rotational speed of the first roller is less than the rotation speed of the first pulley.
APPARATUS FOR COLLECTING AND STORING TENNIS BALLS
A ball collecting apparatus is provided that employs a human-powered ball transport system that moves balls from a collecting surface to a location above the collection surface. The ball collecting apparatus employs no motors or other artificially powered devices to retrieve and transfer balls, which makes it light and easy to maneuver. The ball collecting apparatus is primarily contemplated for use of picking up tennis balls, but other balls of various sizes may be accommodated by the apparatus, as it is scalable.
CARRYING DEVICES WITH BUILT-IN SECURITY SYSTEM
A carrying device with a built-in security system including a security unit 10 having components housed in an integral unit, where the components include a camera 1 with a light sensor 2; a speed sensor 4; a distance sensor 9; a GPS tracker 8; a transponder 7 for sending and accepting digital data; a microcontroller 15, and a rechargeable power supply 5 in electrical communication with the microcontroller 15, the camera 1, the speed sensor 4, the distance sensor 9, the GPS tracker 8 and the transponder 7; to monitor the location and contents of the carrying device and to provide real time feedback to the user.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING MANIPULATION OF EXERCISE DATA
Some embodiments of the present specification relate to an apparatus for preventing the manipulation of exercise data, the apparatus comprising: a sensor installed in a driving unit of an exercise equipment or at a position close to the driving unit, to sense vibration associated with the exercise of a user; a storage unit for recording and storing a reference value for determining whether exercise data has been manipulated, according to an operational feature of the exercise equipment; an exercise data determining unit for determining whether the exercise data of the user has been manipulated, by comparing a vibration measurement value of the exercise equipment measured by the sensor with the reference value when driving of the exercise equipment is identified; and a control unit for performing control to receive exercise equipment information from which the user may determine a unique feature of the exercise equipment to which the user logs on, extract the reference value corresponding to the exercise equipment from the storage unit, receive a result of determining whether the exercise data of the user is normal, from the exercise data determining unit, store the received exercise data when it is determined that the exercise data is normal, and not store the exercise data when it is determined that the exercise data is abnormal.
RETRACTABLE BASKETBALL HOOP
A retractable basketball hoop comprising a backboard, a basketball rim, a pole to support the backboard at an elevation, a motor in communication with the pole and a controller, with a user interface, in communication with the motor for adjusting the elevation of the backboard. The basketball rim is pivotally coupled to the backboard.
INTELLIGENT WEIGHTLIFTING RACK
An intelligent weightlifting apparatus includes a frame including vertically oriented members and safety rails that are selectively moveable up and down relative to the vertically oriented members. The apparatus includes a position sensor that is configured to detect a position of a barbell. The apparatus includes a computer that is configured to control movement of the safety rails based on data from the position sensor such that a predefined distance is maintained between the safety rails and the barbell during a free weight exercise.
