Produce boxes and bags for shipping produce, e.g., bananas, utilize ventilation structures that allow for ventilation therethrough. A method of assembling produce boxes provides for cutouts that serve as ventilation structures in the boxes. When the produce boxes are stacked such as on a shipping pallet, the ventilation structures allow for ventilation of through the stacked boxes. Produce may be packed in a bag, which is closed with a rip cord and inserted into a produce box. The rip cord may be accessed when the box is in a stack such as on a shipping pallet, such that the rip cord may be pulled thereby opening the bag, without removing the box from the stack.

REUSABLE LAUNDRY BAG

A reusable bag for containing soiled textiles is used in conjunction with a sling and a wheeled tote to efficiently process soiled laundry in a cleaning process. The reusable bag does not leave a residue on the soiled textiles during the cleaning process and offers significant cost savings over other cleaning options while still allowing for the safe handling of the soiled textiles in the cleaning process.

A twist-tie includes a fastener having a malleable material surrounded by an outer coating having a longitudinal axis and extending between a first end and a second end; and an indicia portion extending at least partially along the longitudinal axis, the indicia portion including at least a portion that is attached to the fastener and at least a portion that is separated from the fastener, wherein a separation between the indicia portion and the fastener defines a slit that extends from an open end toward a closed end in a direction of at least one of the first end toward the second end and the second end toward the first end.

Non-continuously laminated structures of thermoplastic films with differing material compositions and functional material properties

A non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films comprises thermoplastic films with differing material compositions and differing functional benefits. In particular, one or more embodiments comprise thermoplastic films that are co-extruded separately and then combined together by a post-extrusion bonding process. The differing composition of the various films of the non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films and the post-extrusion bonding process, provide the structures with the functional benefits of the individual films.

Device to secure plastic trash liner to receptacle and closure device

The present invention relates to a disk-shaped device for securing plastic trash liners in a trash receptacle, with two durable 53 mm diameter, 3 mm thick embodiments. The first embodiment has eight isosceles triangular flaps, positioned around the central point, with tips at the center and bases in contact with the circumferential rim. The second embodiment has eight curvilinear arced triangular flaps, positioned around the central point, with bases in contact with the circumferential rim and tips positioned around a central 2 mm aperture. The liner is threaded through the central point or aperture, allowing the flaps to flex and create a tight seal, preventing slipping.

NON-METALLIC TIE

A non-metallic tie, for example a twist-tie or a tin-tie, comprises a polymeric material melt-blending from a composition containing (a) from about 50 to about 80 wt % of at least one matrix-forming thermoplastic polymer which is amorphous or becomes amorphous when melted, and (b) from about 20 to about 50 wt % of at least one elastomeric polymer which has a flexural modulus of less than 700 MPa and a glass transition temperature less than 25 C., based on the combined weight of (a) and (b). The tie is characterized by tensile elongation at break according to ASTM D638-00 of from about 20 to about 100; and a dead fold angle equal to or less than about 30, as determined by a method including the steps of (i) providing a sample of the twist tie having two end portions, a thickness of 1-2 mm and a length of about 100 mm; (ii) folding the sample approximately in half in the lengthwise direction so that end portions are approximately adjacent to each other; (iii) relaxing the folded sample at room temperature for three minutes; and (iv) measuring as the dead fold angle the included angle between the article sample end portions.

Pouch with rigid handle and supports

Provided are pouches with rigid handles and/or internal supports and methods of making such pouches. In one aspect, a pouch with internal support includes a flexible pouch including a fitment coupled to a flexible pouch body and at least one inner support piece coupled to the fitment and extending into the inside of the pouch through the interior of the fitment. The fitment includes a fitment inner engagement feature and the at least one inner support piece includes an inner support engagement feature and at least one inner support extending from the inner support engagement feature. The fitment inner engagement feature and inner support engagement feature are interlocked to keep the at least one inner support piece from falling into or out of the flexible pouch body.

TIP BONDED FORMED LAMINATES OF FILM

Tip bonded formed laminates, and methods for making tip bonded formed laminates, are made from multiple layers of formed substrates made from films which are bonded together at the tips of their formed protrusions. Tip bonded laminates can be designed with greater resistance to bending, improved resilience to compression, and can be patterned for directionally oriented responses to tensile loads. Also, tip bonded formed laminates made from multiple layers of formed substrates can use their layered structure to provide better aesthetics as well as better physical properties such as improved puncture resistance. Tip bonded formed laminates can be configured with thicker portions and designed patterns, which are appealing to consumers. A tip bonded formed laminate can be made from two or more formed substrates and can be used instead of a single, thick, unformed, substrate, so the laminate can use about the same amount of material, while still providing surprising functional benefits. Tip bonded formed laminates can provide these benefits without relying on more expensive polymers and/or high concentrations of additives and offer significant improvements at a reasonable cost, when compared with unformed, single layer substrates.
