Packaging assembly and method for safely transporting a solution containing peroxyacetic acid for later use as a disinfectant
11667443 · 2023-06-06 ·

A packaging assembly includes a box storage compartment that forms a sealed unit package capable of containing a number of peroxyacetic acid solution-storing containers. The package has a number of reinforced compartmented spaces to hold the containers during transport and can optionally have an absorbing agent material in the spaces and/or base portion of the package. The packaging assembly allows a predetermined amount of peroxyacetic acid solution to be safely transported to an area where the solution can be easily and safely used and without the need for special equipment or handling procedures.

Cap liner
11370585 · 2022-06-28 · ·

A venting cap liner has a bottom surface facing an annular bottle lip surrounding an open top end of a bottle neck, and a top surface facing an inner top wall of a closure cap, the liner being configured to provide a gas-permeable but liquid-impervious seal that is resistant to rupture when a downwardly directed torque is applied in a thickness direction of the liner body to compression seal the liner body between the annular bottle lip and the inner top wall of the cap. In one embodiment, a two-layer liner body includes a bottom layer of a mineral-filler based polyolefin (MFP) material that is substantially liquid-impervious while allowing release of gas evolving from a liquid product in the bottle, and a top layer comprising a polyolefin (PO) foam material having a grooved upper surface with channels facing the inner top wall of the cap, and a plurality of through-holes extending in a thickness direction, wherein the layers of the liner body allow gas, evolving from a product in the sealed bottle, to permeate out the open top end of the bottle neck, through the MFP material, the through-holes of the PO foam material and along the channels to flow out of an area between an exterior surface of the bottle neck and a peripheral cap flange.

FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER WITH A REVERSIBLE LID
20220161972 · 2022-05-26 ·

Containers for storing food in a storage compartment may include a base portion of the container. The storage compartment is sealed with a film to get the food stored in the storage compartment fresh. The container further includes a reversible lid that is able to attach to the base portion of the container in two different configurations. In a first configuration the reversible lid attaches to the base portion without affecting the seal created by the film. In a second configuration the reversible lid attaches to the base portion when the lid is inverted and the film is removed from the base portion.

MASON CONTAINER LID

A lid assembly includes a lid element having an annularly shaped peripheral portion configured to be axially aligned with and disposed between a rim of a canning container and a radially extending portion of a retainer element when the lid assembly is engaging the canning container and the retainer element is removably coupled to the canning container. An annularly shaped sealing element is disposed on the peripheral portion of the lid element and is configured to directly engage the rim of the canning container when the lid assembly is contacting the canning container. A plurality of projections is formed in the peripheral portion of the lid element with each of the projections forming a distally disposed surface of the peripheral portion with respect to an exterior axial direction of the lid element extending away from an interior of the canning container when the lid assembly is engaging the rim.

Closure and lid and method of forming closure and lid

An example lid assembly may include a lid and a slider. The slider may be configured to move between a closed position where the slider covers a container opening to aid in preventing spilling of contents of the container and an opened position where the slider uncovers the opening such that the contents of the container may be released. The slider may include at least one slider positioning magnet and at least one lid positioning magnet that may be configured to lock the slider in the closed position and lock the slider in the opened position. The magnets may have a length and a width that are equal to each other.

Closure and lid and method of forming closure and lid

An example lid assembly can include a lid and a slider. The lid can include a wall defining a recess. The slider can be configured to slide in the recess and can be configured to move between a closed position where the slider covers the opening to aid in preventing spilling of contents of the container and an opened position where the slider uncovers the opening such that the contents of the container can be consumed. The slider can be configured to be removable from the lid and can be replaced back on the lid. Additionally, the slider can be configured to lock into place on the recess in both the closed position and the opened position.

Disposable Lid with Integrated Straw-type Mouthpiece, Finger Indentations and Pressure Equalization Valve to Fit Standard Sized Disposable Drinking Cups
20220279948 · 2022-09-08 ·

A lid for a drinking cup that combines a straw and a lid (hereafter referred to as a straw-lid) and which comprises an integrated straw-type mouthpiece portion as a primary feature for the purpose of eliminating the traditional drinking straw. The lid also comprises finger indentations to promote stability while tipping the cup forward to drink from the integrated straw-type mouthpiece, and a pressure equalization valve to encourage ease of flow and prevent a vacuum. The lid is fitted to the top of a variety of standard sized disposable or reusable cups and is constructed of disposable or reusable materials, particularly polymeric by method of thermoforming or injection molding.

CONTAINERS FEATURING IMPROVED FOOD INTEGRITY AND TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE

A container lid and base assembly includes lid and base stacking features, as well as base chamfers that align with vents provided in the lid. When a plurality of the container assemblies is stacked, the lid and base stacking features nest with each other, while the chamfers align with corresponding vents in the stacked assemblies so that none of the vents is blocked by a next-higher container assembly. The stacking features can be centrally located, and the vents can be peripherally located. A plurality of the container assemblies can have differing sizes and/or shapes, while including mutually compatible stacking features, thereby enabling container assemblies of differing sizes to be stacked without blocking any of the vents thereof. The vents can be holes or “C” vents. The lid and/or base can be manufacturable by thermoforming. The lid and base can be separate, or joined by a hinge.

Device to Force Moisture Removal Inside a Food Container
20210179335 · 2021-06-17 ·

A method, a food container, a lid, and absorbent pad for a food container that actively removes moisture in the food container without changing the food temperature inside the container in a meaningful way are disclosed herein. The removal of moisture is achieved by introducing a cold spot (below the dew point temperature) at or within the absorbent pad, which is inside the food container. This cold spot forces condensation of moisture from the air to form locally on the absorbent pad. The condensed moisture is then captured by an absorbent element placed below, and preferably adjacent to/collocated with, the cold spot and between the cold spot and the stored food. The cold spot is preferably achieved by a properly chosen frozen substance such as an ice cube or a frozen gel packet or ice suspended inside an absorbent pad.
