The second closure portion includes a polymeric tamper-evident band depending from and being partially detachably connected to the skirt portion by a frangible connection. The frangible connection extends partially around the periphery of the closure. The first and second closure portions are attached via at least one hinge. The at least one hinge assists in moving the closure between an open and closed positions after the frangible connection has been broken.

In some embodiments, the sound producing mechanism may be detachable. In particular embodiments, the sound produced during or following a pouring operation sounds like birdsong, and in some embodiments, a contoured outer housing is provided in the form of a bird.

In the unlocking position of the locking member (56), the actuator (60) is not prevented by the abutment (110) from being moved into the open position.

A gas moving along the device surface toward the leading edge of the bridge may be directed toward the leading edge of the reed and across the reed leading edge causing the reed to vibrate, the vibration producing a vibratory sound.

The outer layer may include a tear-away portion that tears transversely between offset kiss-cut paths to unseal a sealed package and expose internal paper material to provide visual indication that the package has been unsealed.
