CLOSURE FOR A CONTAINER
20190092539 · 2019-03-28 · ·

A closure (40, 240) for a fluent substance-containing system, such as a container, includes a body (54, 254) for receiving the fluent substance from the system, an actuator (60, 260) assembled with the closure body (54, 254) for selectively preventing or permitting flow of the fluent substance through the closure body (54, 254), and a shell (56, 256) that is mounted around at least a portion of the closure body (54, 254). The shell (56, 256) has a top end (156) and a blocking member (176) having an initial configuration and a separated configuration. In the initial configuration, the blocking member (176) is connected to the top end (156) to prevent the actuator (60, 260) from moving into an open, dispensing position. In the separated configuration, the blocking member (176) is at least partially separated from the top end (156) to allow the actuator (60, 260) to move into the open, dispensing position.

CLOSURE VENT FOR TAMPER EVIDENT CONTAINER

A plastic container includes a lid adapted for leak-proof sealing state with a base. Mating surfaces of the lid and base rims form one or more proximal seal zones when the lid rim and base rim are in an initially sealed state. Hinge-forming structure extends from a first hinge-joining section of the lid rim to a second hinge-joining section on the base rim. In the initially sealed state the first hinge-joining section superposes over all or part of the second hinge-joining section, the area at which the first hinge-joining-section superposes the second hinge-joining section defines an overlapping portion of the first and second hinge-joining sections. One or more vent channels are formed in either of the lid rim or base rim and located within the radially overlapping portion. The one or more channels form a complete discontinuity in the one or more proximal seal zones. Because the channels are within the overlapping portion, they are protected from tampering access.

A method of thermoforming a container includes forming a lid having a lid rim, and forming a base including a base rim. The method also includes forming a foldable section that joins the lid rim and the base rim and includes a lid hinge panel extending from the lid rim to a hinge and a base hinge panel extending from the base rim to the hinge. The method also includes forming a frangible line that extends from an edge of the lid hinge panel, across a portion of the lid hinge panel to a first point, from the first point across the lid hinge panel to the hinge, across the hinge, across the base hinge panel from the hinge to a second point on the base hinge panel, and from the second point across a portion of the base hinge panel to an outside edge of the base hinge panel.

ANTI-OPENING CONTAINER

An anti-opening container includes a first box and a second box. The first box includes a first body, a first box section and a first gripping section. The first box section is formed by the extension of the first body. The second box includes a second body, a second box section, a second gripping section, an extension section, and a fastener section. The second box section is formed by the extension of the second body. The fastener section is connected to the extension section via a perforated line. The fastener section is embedded in the first box section. When the first gripping section and the second gripping section are displaced in opposite directions, the perforated line breaks, and the first box section and the fastener section are separated from the second box section together to separate the first box and the second box.

LOCK STRUCTURE FOR SECURING CAP OF TUBE

A device for securing a cap of a container. The device may include a bottom plate and a top plate. The bottom plate may be formed with a side opening open towards a side of the device to receive in the cap of the container closing an open end of the container, and a center opening connected to the side opening. The center opening may be dimensioned to receive the cap of the container and have a width larger than a width of a portion of the side opening. The side opening and the center opening may define a pair of inward protrusions to capture the cap of the container. The top plate may be spaced away from the bottom plate and configured to at least partially cover the cap of the container.

TAMPER EVIDENT FOOD CONTAINER WITH ACCORDIATED PULL TAB

A plastic container capable of assuming a loading state, an initially sealed state and an opened state comprises a lid including a lid rim and a base having a base rim. The lid rim sealingly engages with the base rim. A projecting portion has an accordiated section and a pull tab that projects outwardly from the lid. The accordiated section has at least one pleat. The projecting portion includes a frangible bridge. When the plastic food container is in the initially sealed state, the accordiated section has a first length and a first orientation relative to the projecting portion. When the container is in the initially sealed state and a first pulling force is applied to the pull tab, the frangible bridge ruptures. When the frangible bridge ruptures and before the lid is separated from the base, the container is in a tab-employed state in which the accordiated section springs outward and has a second length visibly longer than the first length.

Tamper-evident closing element and receiving structure

A combination of a closing element (28) and a receiving structure (24) is provided wherein the closing element (28) and receiving structure (24) are in an initially assembled orientation which prevents, but which can he subsequently operated to permit, communication through the receiving structure (24). The receiving structure (24) includes at least one laterally projecting shear member (40) and a spout (30) defining (A) an access passage (32). The closing element (28) has an aperture (78) for receiving a shear member (40) of the receiving structure (24). At least one frangible bridge (78) extends across a portion of the aperture (74) for being severed by the shear member (40) during relative rotation between the closing element (28) and the receiving structure (24).

MULTI-FLOW STOPPER

A multi-flow stopper for liquids, including a part with means of attachment to a gland of a container, the part forming a main body of the stopper, two flow outlet openings of unequal size, so as to define a large and a small opening. The two openings form an integral part of the part forming the main body of the stopper.

A tamper-evident closure for a container is provided. The closure comprises a base attachable to a container neck. The base comprises a sidewall having a tamper-evident drop band, the band including an abutment for engaging the container neck to cause the band to break away from the sidewall if an attempt is made to remove the closure from the neck once fitted. The band further comprises an extension against which the sidewall pushes if the closure is reapplied to push the band away from the base. The extension extends only part of the way around the band.

Closure

A single-piece flip-top dispensing closure (10) is provided. The closure comprises a base (15) and a lid (20) joined by a hinge (25). The base is attachable to a container neck and includes an integral spout (45). A tamper-evident member is frangibly connected to the lid. The tamper-evident member includes a hook (85). The base is provided with a raised crossbar (550) under which the hook engages with the closure in an initially closed condition. When the lid is initially opened the interaction between the crossbar and the hook causes the tamper-evident member to release from the lid.
