Apparatus, system, and method for reducing head or neck trauma
A system for reducing trauma in the head or neck of a living being caused by acceleration of the head relative to a torso of the living being within a range of motion. The system includes a support engaging at least one of the head, neck, and shoulder of the living being without limiting the range of motion of the head or neck relative to the torso; a sensor in electrical communication with the system; a user interface in electrical communication with the sensor; and a damper associated with the support that is configured to mitigate the position, speed or acceleration of the head relative to the torso in response to information received by the sensor or user interface.
DEVICE FOR EFFICIENTLY EXTRACTING ADAPTIVELY SELECTED CONTACTLESS MULTI-PLAYER HEART RATES
The present disclosure discloses a device for efficiently extracting adaptively selected contactless multi-player heart rates includes: an acquisition module that covers a court to obtain videos from a plurality of angles during players training; a valid player obtaining module configured to remove players with low contributions to training and games in the videos; a facial ROI extraction module configured to detect whether the facial ROIs of valid players contain perfect eye region features, and use the facial ROIs containing the eye region features as best facial ROIs for heart rate extraction; and an analysis and estimation module configured to analyze the detected best facial ROIs by using blind source separation, and estimate a RGB signal by a JADE algorithm to obtain the heart rate values of the valid players.
BASKETBALL LAUNCHING SYSTEM FOR RECORDING SHOOTING STATISTICS AT LOCATIONS OTHER THAN PASSING LOCATIONS
A basketball launching system for recording shooting statistics in association with locations other than passing locations. Controller(s) receive data from a user interface indicating selection of a pass location and one or more shooting locations which are spaced apart from the pass location and program a launching device to pass basketballs to a location at a basketball playing area corresponding to the selected pass location and record shooting performance information in association with an associated one of the selected shooting locations for each respective one of the passes.
Blockchain
An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a camera coupled to a processor; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor. Blockchain smart contracts can be used with the device to facilitate secure operation.
Sports ball with wickerbill
A sports ball comprising a cover disposed about a bladder is provided. The cover comprises an outer substrate and defines an outer substrate surface and a feature surface. The outer substrate surface defines a plurality of plateau sections. The feature surface is radially spaced apart from the outer substrate surface and further defines a plurality of indentations and a plurality of protrusions. Each indentation has an indentation terminus disposed on the feature surface and radially spaced apart from the outer substrate surface by an indentation depth. The protrusions are positioned on the plateau sections, and each protrusion has a protrusion terminus disposed on the feature surface and radially spaced apart from the outer substrate surface by a protrusion height. At least one protrusion is positioned less than a predetermined distance of about 1.0 millimeters from at least one of the indentations, thereby acting as a wickerbill on the ball.
Luminous leather for sports ball
A luminous leather for a sports ball includes a base fabric, a polyurethane (PU) layer, a luminous layer and a film. The base fabric, the PU layer, the luminous layer and the film are sequentially bonded by glue from bottom to top. The luminous layer is a fluorescent coating. The luminous leather for the sports ball has an enhanced luminous effect while being wear-resistant. In the new luminous leather, the luminous layer is added, and the luminous layer is a fluorescent coating. In this way, sports balls made of the new luminous leather come in different surface colors to be more entertaining. Meanwhile, a film is immediately coated onto the luminous layer by a roller before the glue gets dry to enhance the luminous effect and the color brightness, while making the entire leather more wear-resistant.
SPORTS TRAJECTORY TRAINING DEVICE
Embodiments described herein are related to a sports training device. The sports training device may include a base structure having a supporting element and a shaft coupled to the base structure such that the shaft is selectively raised or lowered relative to the base structure. A resilient rod may be coupled to the second end of the shaft and disposed. The resilient rod may be capable of bending to absorb an impulse and returning to a first resting position along. A longitudinal rod structure may be coupled to the resilient rod. The longitudinal rod structure may be disposed along the first axis and capable of rotating with the bending of the resilient rod. A reference object may be coupled to an end of the longitudinal rod structure. The reference object may be disposed along or proximate to a target trajectory of a sports ball.
Protective device for human joint
A protective device for protecting a proximal interphalangeal joint and a distal interphalangeal joint of a human finger comprises a flexible sheath for wearing around the human finger and at least four motion constraining elements integrated in or secured to the flexible sheath. The motion constraining element is adapted for constraining a lateral and/or rotational deviation motion of a first phalanx with respect to a second phalanx. The motion constraining element covers a lateral side of the flexible sheath at a location corresponding to the joint and is adapted for resisting elongation of the motion constraining element in a longitudinal direction of the flexible sheath. The motion constraining element is bendable in a direction to allow flexion of the joint. The motion constraining elements for the distal interphalangeal joint and for the proximal interphalangeal joint are distinct and separate elements having different points of engagement on the flexible sheath.
Training aid for shooting a basketball
A training aid for shooting a basketball including a head-mounting portion configured to mount onto the head of a person shooting the basketball and a feedback-providing portion attached to, and supported by, the head mounting portion. The feedback-providing portion defining a forward-facing engagement surface extending upward from the head-mounting portion that provides tactile feedback to the person when the engagement surface is contacted by at least one of the basketball and a shooting hand of the person shooting the basketball.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING DATA IN A LIVE SPORTING EVENT
A system and method of collecting data in a live sporting event includes a set of components used at a sporting event, for example a basketball game. Those components can include referee communication bundles, hoop sensors and a time clock, all communicatively coupled through a central base station. Multiple base stations at different locations, for example other basketball games, are communicatively coupled to a database that can be accessed remotely via a digital device having the appropriate application. A variety of data generated during a game, including environmental, biometrics of referees and game-related, are directed to and stored on the database for real time analysis and adjustments where appropriate, or for later review and analysis.
